(This will take place after the second game, but I will give all required information below, so you don’t have to have beaten the game.)

The GU story:
Haseo, also known as “The Terror of Death”, and Ovan lose their friend Shino to a PKer, Tri-Edge. Haseo becomes a PKKer to hunt down Tri-Edge and finally finds and destroys him. This doesn’t save Shino, but rather releases a deadly virus named AIDA into “The World”, and reduces Haseo back down to Level 1. Haseo then meets Gaspard and Silabus, two members of the Canard guild, and they quickly become friends. Not long after, Haseo searches for a way to destroy AIDA and finds Atoli, Kuhn, and Pi, members of a secret guild named Raven. Yata, the guild master, controls the Serpent of Lore, with which he has near total control over “The World”. With the Serpent of Lore, Yata sends Haseo and friends on missions to destroy AIDA infections to further investigate the AIDA phenomenon. During all of this, Atoli is attacked by AIDA and loses her special abilities. AIDA uses those abilities to create an identical server to “The World” in which no one can log out, and all users of “The World” are stuck inside of it. Yata then sends Haseo, Kuhn, and Pi to the operating folder of “The World” to destroy the AIDA server. Haseo is successful and saves the users of “The World”, but in the process he finds out that Tri-Edge is still alive. Because of this, he assumes that finding and destroying Tri-Edge would then save the “Lost Ones”, people who have been PKed by AIDA and have become comatose in the real world because of it. There is peace for a while afterwards, in which Haseo continues to destroy AIDA infections, but then one of his friends, Alkaid, asks him to resign his Arena Championship and join the next one with her. He accepts and enters the tournament with Alkaid and Atoli. They rise to the top, but just before the semifinals, Alkaid is PKed by AIDA. Just before becoming comatose, however, Alkaid tells Haseo to look for Endrance, and that he would take her place in the arena. Haseo accepts and later finds Endrance grieving because of the loss of his cat (I don’t understand this part, if anyone who’s played the game can tell me, I’d be grateful). Haseo saves Endrance from his grief, and Endrance pledges his eternal servitude to Haseo. Haseo also meets Sakubo here as well, a crybaby brother who shares the account with his evil sister. (Saku is the girl, Bo is the boy) Haseo, Endrance, and Atoli go on to defeat Sirius, Alkaid’s mentor and arena champion, who had been infected by AIDA. Another small time of rest in which Haseo destroys AIDA infections, which then leads up to when Sakaki, a member of the guild Moon Tree, captures and infects Atoli with AIDA. With the infected Atoli, Sakaki takes over the Moon Tree guild by defeating the guild master, Zelkova. Haseo invades the Moon Tree headquarters and defeats the AIDA infecting Atoli, thus scaring Sakaki off. Using the Serpent of Lore, they find Sakaki and confront him. After defeating him in battle, Sakaki infects himself with AIDA, trying to become invincible, but dies in the process by falling off of the bridge. Ovan then appears with something in his hands, and he throws it to Haseo’s feet. Tri-Edges arm? According to Ovan it isn’t, and then he sheds the giant cannon on his left arm to reveal an AIDA arm and some shocking news that he is the true Tri-Edge. Haseo gets angry and follows Ovan to defeat him in battle. After Ovan’s defeat, Atoli and Haseo have a talk in the area where Shino had been PKed, and Atoli freezes in mid-sentence. Haseo turns around to find Ovan, who is still alive, and says “Become stronger Haseo!” And that’s where Volume 2 ends and this roleplay begins.

After the defeat of Ovan, an influx of players joined “The World” at an amazing rate, and the CC Corp., owners and runners of the game, had to create new areas, monsters, quests and more just to keep up with the expanding fan-base. Eventually it got to a point where they had created 12 separate towns with 12 separate servers and people were still joining. As a Player Character during the Ovan incident, it is your job to find either Haseo, Kuhn, Pi, or Atoli and question them on the events that happened. Upon doing this, you will gain access to the Raven guild, and all the information inside of the Serpent of Lore. I will introduce the plot myself as the story moves along, and I will control all the NPCs, including all of the existing characters, but for now I want just an introduction post. Also note that I will not accept anyone that uses a character from any other .Hack series.

Here’s a character sheet for those who don’t want to write out their character:

Name: (original, and numbers are allowed)
Level: (above 80, but below 120)
Weapon Type: (Blade, Gun, Fist, Scythe, Broadsword, Dual Swords. No magic characters, so no staffs or grimoires)
Weapon Skills: (you can make your own, but you can only have four and I must accept them)
Weapon Details: (the name of the weapon you carry and it’s strength)
PC Design: (what your character looks like)
Awakening: (Beast, Demon, Divine, or Avatar awakening; explained below)

For those that are unfamiliar with the weapons:

Blade: A simple sword, average in damage and average in speed. Skills tend to be pretty fast.
Gun: A fast moving, but weak blade, but has a gun attachment which is used for skills.
Fist: Gauntlets that do very little damage, but have a high combo rate due to their amazing speed.
Scythe: Slow with average damage and a wide range, but almost no combo capabilities.
Broadsword: No combos, most are slow, but they have a very high damage and a pretty good range.
Dual Swords: Fast with average damage and a high evasion, but combos tend to be on the lower side.

And the Awakenings:

What is an Awakening?
Awakenings are used when you fill up a bar in the game, but for the sake of the RP, I'll let you use them when you want. JUST DON'T MAKE IT A HABIT! They're supposed to be fairly rare, and unless you kill a lot of players at once, your 'bar' won't fill up that fast. Take heed that only the party leader can use an Awakening.

Beast: Increases the speed and attack of all party members for a short time. Also slows down the enemy dramatically.
Demon: A magical attack in which the party calls down a series of meteors to hit all enemies. Does little damage, but a large combo of hits.
Divine: Your party gives you their power and you unleash the true power of your weapon, usually creating an elemental attack. Causes HIGH damage and hits all enemies.
Avatar: CANNOT BE USED UNLESS YOU ARE AN EPITAPH USER! Calls out your Epitaph to Data Drain all enemies. Causes damage equal to or sometimes higher than Divine Awakening.

Lefos

Level: 103
Weapon Type: Scythe
Weapon Skills: "Divine Strike," an attack that causes raw holy damage. "Judgment," an AoE attack that spins the scythe to deal major holy damage to only darkness elemental enemies. "Gash", as strong downward slice with the scythe to cause moderate damage. "Reaping", quickly twirls the scythe in a tight circle, slashing at nearby foes multiple times.
Weapon Details: A white scythe named "Seraphim". Causes holy damage with attacks, but doesn't fair well against larger enemies.
PC Design: A slender character of somewhat average height. His hair is just past ear length, bearing a light brown color of sorts. He appears to be garbed in tight leather armours, sacrificing physical defense for magical.

Ultimate Aries

Ah. Something I understand. I would like to request this forum stay active, since the last fee I've been to have lasted about a week...

Name: Aramin. It's an old mainstay.
Level: 110-ish. Constantly level-grinding.
Class: Twin Blade. Standard high speed and low defense. Unusually-high burst damage.
Weapon Type: Dual Swords, katar-style.

Weapon Skills: These are simply what Aramin calls them. They would have actual registered names, but he never refers to them by anything else.

Gank: A pincer strike to the throat, excecuted from behind an enemy. Causes very high damage and will probably stun if it connects. Usually used before combat or after Windwalker.

Jacktheripper: A a kick followed by a triple-strike to the torso. If the kick connects the following blows will be incredibly hard to evade.

Windwalker: Not an attack so much as a manuver, Aramin steps straight forward towards his opponent and disappears at the last second, popping up behind them silently. This does no damage but opens the target up for backstabs and Ganks.

Cobra Strike: A two-pronged attack, simultaneously with each blade, that will Poison an enemy if it hits.

Awakening: Beast Awakening. Under the enhanced speed from the Awakening, Aramin moves so fast his player can hardly keep up.

Weapon Details: Aramin's weapons are called the Scarlet Letter. They're a pair of twin blades (charge-up finisher by game standards) held in katar style, attached to the wrist instead of held in the hands. They have the Backstab ability, meaning that they will always perform critical hits from behind an enemy, and they deal minor fire damage.

Combat Style: I hate to use the term "ninja," but that's the best way to describe Aramin's sudden, lightning-fast strikes and malicious smiles afterwards. Often after a finishing blow, Aramin will take time to make a visual effect by standing crouched as his opponent falls to the ground behind him. His favorite killing blow is to Windwalk behind his opponent and then Gank them by slicing their character's throat open with his blades.

PC Design: Aramin fashioned his character after an assassin, and he looks the part. His skin is pale and concealed on almost every part of his body by black clothing. The only protruding parts are his eyes and hair, which are blue and brownish-blond, respectively. Said hair is long and tied back in a ponytail to keep it out of his vision. He wears a long cloak that's more shreds than cloth and has many daggers attached to his body (these are purely cosmetic with no actual use in-game). He moves with total silence and a haunting grace not seen in most other players.

Frequent Activities: Aramin is a PK hitman. His good friend Colt 31 got him into the business. He takes on PK jobs for money and items, and often simply PKs for the challenge it provides. He will only attack a player ten levels or more lower than him if he's getting paid, and tends to go for higher-level enemies for the pleasure of the kill. He works alone when possible or in groups when simply leveling-up.

Quote: "You've got guts. I like that. I think I'll like it more when I rip them out..."

Haseo had been walking around the Breg Epona shops, when he caught the glimpse of someone nearby. His PC was very odd looking, and he stood out like the elephant in a group of mice. The real reason that he stood out to Haseo, were the runes that flashed momentarily as Haseo looked upon him; the sign of an Epitaph User. Haseo started towards the man, but for the second time in one day, the crowd of player kept getting in his way, and before he knew it, the man had disappeared. Usually, Haseo would have liked more people playing The World, but lately it had just gotten out of hand. Most of the players were only drawn to the game because of the mysterious conspiracies behind it. Ironically, most of them were true. Ever since the media had gotten word of the infection called AIDA, they had been plastering it all over the news.

He turned back to what he had been doing before he had seen the man, but came face to face with Matsu. "Hey Haseo! Wanna go on a quest?"
Matsu...always training. You're just determined to beat me, aren't you? Haseo thought to himself. "Yeah, sure. I'll just invite Atoli along and we can accept the 'Dong's Digger Dog's' quest." he replied, and not long after, he sent a short message to Atoli asking her to join.

Desperado - Fires a flurry of bullets in all directions, damaging multiple enemies.
Demon's Lance - Condenses shadow energy into his bullets, turning them into spears of darkness that rain down upon all enemies
Moon Fall - Fires bullets in a crescent shape
Massacre Carmesim - Fires explosive bullets at an enemy, then summons a wave of blood that crashes into all enemies. Akira rarely uses this attack
Weapon Details: Akira weilds a Gun that he has named Massacre Carmesim. It's a heavy sword with a crimson blade and a jet black hilt that doubles as a Gun. It deals minor Shadow damage in addition to Neutral damage.
PC Design: Wears a light chain breastplate and a blue feather-beret that compliments his jet black hair and hazel eyes, along with a pair of tight black leather trousers and chestnut brown cloth boots to allow swift movements.
Awakening: Demon

Aramin looked around as he logged on. It truly was amazing the how many different kinds of people played The World. He saw a small, pinkish, dog-like Tu Tribe shopkeeper having the time of his life selling whatever he could to whoever would buy it and talking way too much. On the other side of Dol Dona was a large man in full steel armor with a million-and-two women following him and crooning at his every movement. There were people talking, trading, and simply moving from place to place.

And every one of them was a potential kill.

However, Aramin wouldn't settle for just any old player. He had to find a strong character to hunt down, to do viscious battle with, and eventually, to PK. He needed a skilled, formidible opponent to test his skills. He needed an experienced player to pit his wits against. He needed...

The Terror of Death! Haseo, the winnder of two arena tournaments and PKK of a hundred PKers. The perfect target just walked past with that Moon Tree brat Matsu. It was time to truely test his abilities.

He chuckled softly to himself as he followed them inconspicuously. This was gonna be fun!

"Moon Fall!"

Akira had just finished off the boss in a dungeon. "You call this loot!? This won't make me any money at all..." he said in discontent as he looted the corpse. "That's enough dungeon crawling for today. I should be heading back to town..." He then warped back to Breg Epona. As he was selling the loot, he could've sworn he saw The Terror Of Death himself, Haseo, turn the corner. After selling the loot, he decided to follow Haseo. Who knows? Maybe he could somehow manage to PK him. It was every PKer's dream to kill Haseo....well, at least it was Akira's. He was soon let down because he lost sight of Haseo. "Whenever I have you right in my grasp, you always seem to slip away. How do you do it, Haseo? How do you do it..." He then decided to accept the "Dong's Digger Dog's" quest and possibly hunt some more bosses...

"I need you to find my Dog for me, he went searching for treasure in the 'Sigma Dogs Digging Heaven' area and hasn't come back yet," said the bird-like creature who he had accepted the quest from. The area words always resembled the quest in some way, but they were usually pretty vague about it; this one was different, it was a bit more straightforward. After the bird creature hobbled away, he turned to Atoli and Matsu and said, "Alright, let's get going."

Haseo, Matsu, and Atoli made their way towards the Chaos Gate. Haseo thought to himself, I hope we get through this quckly, the PKers have been vicious lately, and I don't want Atoli to get hurt. He clenched his teeth as he remembered of what Sakaki had done, but realized that they had already shown up at the Chaos Gate. He accessed it from the small console and typed in the words 'Dogs Digging Heaven' and blue rings, formed from the chim spheres floating inside the Chaos Gate, surrounded him and his party. Before completely disappearing, he caught one last glimpse behind him and saw a black clad man staring directly at him. Things are about to get really bad, really quickly... And then he was staring at an expansive field before him, Breg Epona disappearing completely.
