FabianN, I realize that this forum is meant mainly for MMORPGs, but you have to realize that an extremely large amount of members just bumble around looking for the next game to play. Having an arcade could create a friendly competitive atmosphere. Having your records displayed under your username in a post is a truly satisfying feeling, and I'm sure many forum-goers would be delighted that we have an arcade. You may post a poll in a sticky topic asking people if having an arcade is a good suggestion. If more than 50% say yes (and they will), then I see no reason not to have an arcade. If you do not want one after that, then you would be going against the will of the people. This reminds me of a quote from gaming writer David Sirlin.

"The game is meant to be played by the people, not the developers."

Ahah I tried asking to.
But the reply from the ppl was.
That having an arcade has a high risk of hackers and laggs the forum.

The benefits outweigh the risks.
It's very easy to erase the hackers from the hiscores.

That's not the kind of hackers we're talking. We're talking dudes who would mess up the actual website. Plus, there's a topic about this two posts down!

Styler was not 100% serious about his suggestion. He let the others break his "wall". The point is that an arcade on the OnRPG boards will allow OnRPG members and OnRPG members only to compete with eachother. It would certainly make more than 50% of the population happy. And by the way, why the hell would there be hackers wanting to mess up the entire website if we put an arcade in? No, you just pulled that out of thin air. If they wanted to do hack the site, then they would have done it already.

Well, we already have adbots. (my post on that is only a few threads down) so maybe it could open a loophole leting more in. (and I hope someone is doing something about the adbots) And yes, there are people who would mess up the site just for fun.

Tell me why an arcade would be a catalyst for them to appear more often. Please back your reasoning.

You never know, I mean look at an attack that happened to microsoft office a few years back (although its not a website). And it attacked clippy.
You went to a web page with VML
you got the exploit
computer went goodbye

So even innocent looking things (an arcade) could provide huge security exploits

Well ive been to one website where some member hacked the website.
destroyed it and will only give it back until he gets some $$$

See, there we go. There is the BEST reason to not have a arcade. (And just incase you edit this out of your post, I will quote you here, since you had the same idea)
