A hybrid assist, some buffs and melee skills, later on after getting the second job I would suggest a reset so you can focus on bill poster or ring master :o

Billposter can solo with mobber build (Sta, Int, Str)

Always been a buff user and I can do solo because of it!

Something great for 1vs1 monster is Blade they do alot of dmg and really fast.
Also jesters are the best at solo
