Its a problem on your side. I have windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit and Maple Story runs fine. You just need to emulate it in WindowsXP.

You right click on the .exe for maple story.

If you have Vista running on 64 bit, you're fine. If you are running with 32 bit, you'll run into some problems.
Also check your compatibility: (right click the MS icon > properties > compatibility > check "run this program in compatibility mode for Windows xp service pack 2 > check run this program as an administrator). Although, the compatibility thing only helps with lags and disconnections as far as I'm aware... Hope that helps! |

That's odd. I run Vista 32bit and I'm running it fine. Cyraan and Yoon both beat me to it; but that's the main method for making it work.
Just make sure you run the program as an administrator. Otherwise, the program's not going to be given the authority to install. Even if you are logged on as an administrator, it's still good to right click the icon, and select 'Run as Administrator'. Of course, you're going to need the password. |
