but basically ehre is what you need to know.
1)Make an account and make sure you "ACTIVATE" trial account for monster hunter frontier in the activation link, or look for it in the main MFH website.
2) Set your clock to Osaka/JPT time!


if you see MONSTER HUNTER FRONTIER .... blah error, means your account isn't activated for trial.
if you see error with (2), SET YOUR CLOCK to osaka.

etc...

Making an account is sortof a rite of passage ^^ Good luck

PS, even if you cant read japanaese, learn to read the address when you hover over links, its kind of obvious ^^

Oh I have the game working just fine. It was more problems that weren't specifically spoken of that were merely gotten because I was trying so hard to follow exactly as said.

It's the game itself I find overwhelming. I went in and all that japanese text and I had NO idea what in the world to do.

I didn't expect english at all @_@ if someone did after getting through the whole signup I'd be afraid for their... Something... I was just overwhelmed. This is the first time I've tried to play a japanese game and usually I'm strict about NOT playing games I cannot understand (but this was for MONSTER HUNTER!) I was just... It scared me. I thought maybe I'd remember how the old monster hunter menus were, how to see items, but I don't. I think I found a quest, but I was afraid to accept it. I knew it'd be hard but I underestimated just how scary it'd be. If someone else goes on i'd love to join to start learning how it works and everything. I'll be finally trying to learn to read japanese this summer (funny how this game is what finally gets me to pull through with it). I'm being pulled by two sides of my mind and I can't seem to get over the fear >_<

Also, I heard there was a helpful guide to what things were to actually PLAYING the game. If I had a small guide to tell what was what I'd probably be able to play a bit easier... guess not many people play this seeing how slow this topic is... Maybe theres another place I'm missing... Who knows...

I tried again, I tried bring my own little sheet with words I thought I might see (out of over a 100 I found maybe 1. It was "item" but one of the characters in mine was incorrect or something). Walking around everywhere, theres a bit of a jist of what I can do but 70% of it is incomprehensable without being able to read it. The quest I did (besides the easy to figure out raw meat one) had an item I could never figure out and never managed to get even one of. I've no idea how you people can play without understanding. Sweet Installed and bumping...well its bad *** so far...but its a bit choppy on my computer...probly hardware issues...but still playable...i have a logitech controller and it works like wonders...it play just like PS2 and psp...but my Triangle doesnt do anythign and that the attack botton.... so weak...but o well...but my main question is how to put game in window mode....that would be easier and less stress on my computer and probly run smoother...also anyone still play?

Edit: BTW my google/firefox is stuck in kanji/japanese text...anyone know how to change it back to normal...and hopefully it doens' happen again...well i just need google to search..

ReEdit: fixed it....if this happen to someone...just go to www.google.com and there actually a option to see english verison of it...then it automatic change back /)/)

sweet, well i guess we better start gettin our rank up.. also you should get rid of the inactive ppl and also i can get som of my japanese friends to join, my roomy wont join cus hes already in one but i can get som other frnds.

Have you managed to figure out an easy way to actually do quests? the only quest I can complete is the meat one, otherwise I have NO idea what the hell I'm doing or supposed to gather or anything. It's probably easy to figure out for hunting quests but anything else is practically impossible without being able to understand the text somewhat...

Alright, so after setting up my VPN connection and installing the Japanese language packs, MHFO decided to stop connecting to Gameguard.


I'm starting to think the language pack didn't install either....I still get a bunch of question marks when I get an error message.

Any help?

hmm the only way for you is to remember the name or asking other english speaker in game?

Sircusa can't read japanese too but he able to play it just fine

Edit : this is an issue a few pages back but those of you who got your credit card cut every month in daletto site...
