Ok I solved the downloading problem.

I'm patching now and I would like to ask how am I able to set the fonts to japanese instead of some other weird computer language.

I did a lot of research about damage and I realize, is the attack skill really uber? It'd seem to add 100dmg to each katana attack once at 25 o_o I'm guessing the 100 would be reduced based on the attack.

Attack up (Large) will add +48 Attack while using a Katana (Attack+ skills are based solely on what weapon you've currently got equipped), but Attack doesn't equal damage anyway...Very confusing explanation below:

Say you have 216 Attack while using an SnS vs YKK. You have to find out how much damage a YKK will take at a certain part of the body with the type of weapon you're using and also how much damage the attack you're using will do, among other various things.

216 (attack) * .24 (Left attack with SnS) * 1.125 (Green sharpness) * .50 (Hitting YKK in the head with a Cut type weapon) * 1.0 (Defense, pretty sure all non Hard mode monsters have 1.0 defense) * 1.0 (Rage multiplier, YKK is in "Normal" state, sometimes monsters will be weaker in rage, sometimes stronger) * 1.12 (Weapon attack variable) / 1.4 (Weapon type modifier) = 23 total damage. (Damage is always rounded down to the lowest number if there is spare, in this case the exact number is 23.3 something.

Confusing? Very.

The thing you should really be learning about is if the monster is weak to a certain element and do you have a weapon with that element? Another thing is the hit chart, you want to know where you should be hitting to be doing the most damage with the weapon type you're currently using (and also the element). Not all weapons will do the most damage on the same part.

I understand how dmg works (Did a read up on gamefaqs =P) I'm wondering how the attack buff is added on. It just increases the attack points before the formula? Also, the attack skill has been boosted. So attack skill large does 20 instead of 10. (Yay X3)
Also, the japanese websites have a hit list. (It seems some are a bit different from freedom 2 o_o)

Just add on the amount to your weapon's damage for the attack buff. Your equipment screen automatically adds the attack buffs to your attack, so just go by that number.
