Everyone has been in the situation when you are playing a great match and suddenly a hacker joins, and ruins all the fun. We understand how you feel. It sucks. I am going to try (keyword TRY) to come up with some good ways to either force the hacker to leave or have them leave willingly.

First off, report hacking by taking a recording and screenshots. Don't be afraid of being targeted, flamed and whatnot, in the end it will only lead to a better gameplay experience. I don't remember the key you press to do this..... but I'm sure someone would be willing to tell you. I think /help tells you as well. You need to send the screenshots and video in as proof of the hacking, otherwise they won't do a thing about it. I'm not sure if igunz has a system to report hackers, but ijji does, and so does DRGunZ. Just look around a bit and you'll find it.

Second, start a kick vote, in which everyone will vote to have the player removed from the match. To do this simply type /kick and hit enter. Then a menu will pop up with each player's name next to a number or letter. Hit the corresponding number or letter to have that person removed. Please note you can only do this once per match, even if you leave and rejoin, so don't abuse it. If you are going to do this, immediately say "all hit y" and state the reason why you started the kick vote. "hacker" is sufficient.

If you are unsuccessful, you can try to rally support of other players to start another kick vote. Hopefully this will work. If you are still unsuccessful, try to rally even more support to gang up on the hacker. Hopefully after severe enough of a beating, they will become frustrated and leave the match. This is where playing with friends is a good idea.

I play with friends and use the above technique quite a lot. I try to play with at least 2 friends, so we can surround a hacker if need be. (plus they are pro... guess that kinda helps lol) It has worked so far pretty well, and i will get into more detail about this technique later.

What you should NOT do

1. Mouth off - Talking smack isn't going to get you anywhere... but targeted by the hacker. Plus it makes you look stupid. Don't do it.

2. Fight fire with fire - Going and getting hacks to defeat a hacker is about the most unintelligent thing you could do. Why you ask? A.) You could get into a hack war, causing everyone in the game to leave, or cause you to be labeled a hacker. B.)You could be banned from GunZ, and nobody wants that. C.) You could download a fake hack file and before you know it your CPU will catch fire and explode. (in case you are wondering that means viruses, lol) D.) You can cause your system or game to crash. And that would suck. So don't do that.

3. Get frustrated - If you become frustrated, you may be more inclined to do the above. Plus nobody wants you to throw your keyboard across the room. Just keep calm.

4. Cry - Do I really need to explain this? (Yes... it did happen... trust me i was as shocked as you would be.)

5. Quit playing - Altogether i mean. If you want to take a breather until the hacker leaves by all means do so. If you quit the game altogether, they win. They accomplished their goal. Don't let them win.

6. Be predictable - (NOTE: this only applies to the ganging technique!)Don't be super predictable when fighting a hacker. I don't know how to put it any more lightly than you will be raped if you are.

How to do the "gang-up technique" successfully UPDATE: this really doesn't work anymore....

You need 3 ppl, 2 if you are both Pro, preferably one k-styler, one with an auto, and one with a revolver or shotty. Have the K-styler bounce back and forth slashing the hacker, keeping him in one spot. Have the auto guy stand behind him and fire a steady stream of bullets in his back. Have the shotty/ revolver guy stand in front of the hacker and pump shells into his face. This should bring him down pretty quickly. The only hack i've ever seen that this didn't work on can't be used anymore due to a security update, so there isn't much to worry about. EDIT: there is an infinite slash hack(lawnmower) that I forgot about, and fighting is completely ineffective(EDIT: You can use M-Style to avoid it... but not necessarily fight them off.), because you can't get anywhere near them, and it comes with a hp lock (they're hp doesn't go down). Just stay away if you see this, or even hear it. (it sounds like....well...12 people slashing a sword simultaneously)

Update!: There is a new(er) lawnmower hack for igunz, called nymphetamine v1.0, which has a flipmower, insane massive, and obviously a lawnmower. This hack does not come with godmode. Keep your distance and fire away. If they look like they are switching their weapons at the speed of light... just stay away. This I believe this is just the beefed up version of it... but I'm not sure so don't quote me on that. It's not worth trying to kill them, because as soon as you do, they force an exit and a re-entry, so the game never registers the kill. In other words, you don't get exp and they don't wait to respawn.
There is also another hack called Brian's_dll which contains a colored name hack, lawnmower, and godmode. If you see someone with a colored name, stay away. You cannot kill them. It is actually godmode, not HP/AP lock. Just boot them instead.

Update: Nymphetamine has been updated to version 4.2...at least thats the popular one now. It has Godmode, lawnmower, flipmower, insane massive, follow last attacker, massive last attacker, flip last attacker, slash last attacker, and various wall hacks. Its pretty much hopeless to try and kill them unless you are using the hack yourself. Once again, just boot them. It doesn't have a anti-kick feature. By the way I think this hack only works for igunz.

Update!: There is a new hack called the Unnamed dll v5 that cames with godmode, lawnmower, insane massives (i think), colored name hack, wall hack, follow last attacker, and bot feature. Bot feature? It spams the last attacker with a pop-up message that stops them from controlling their character. So, if you see this hack..... though its hard to spot.... do not attack them, or you will be sorry. Start a kick vote right away, and pay attention to who you are attacking when you get message spammed like that. Then you will know who to kick.

And that's how I deal with hackers. Now get out there and bust some heads!

i agree with you 100% man. great guide for how to deal with a hacker. the only thing i do wrong is i let them win by quitting. but this is a fantastic guide man.

by quit playing, I mean quit playing GunZ altogether. If you want to quit the current match you are participating in, by all means do so. Sometimes there are just situations in which you can't get them to leave.

Yeah.... but that doesn't happen all that often..... plus some hacks make you lag, so you are delayed when trying to leave the room.

Actually, I think that even if they leave, and the vote continues and is accepted, they won't be able to rejoin the game. (But I'm not sure so don't quote me on this...)

Yeh lol, its the small amount of time u have to kill someone without being hacked to death that counts... at least until he/she (or some other retard hacker) shows up and ruins ur day again lol
