Typical day in FFXI.
Join game in town......spam general chat for 2 hours lfp. *Crickets*
Realize two hours have passed and you are still running circles in town, logoff and proceed to strangle your retarded friend who told you to get the game. FFXI is not a solo game. I dont care what the tard was saying about the beastmaster class, its still not solo friendly, and besides you cant just grab the game and go play a beastmaster. On top of things, once you can actually fight the combat is equivalent to a sloth on valium.
Typical day in WoW.
Level a character BY YOURSELF either doing minimal grind or by yourself. Notice there are tons of people doing instance quests for gear. Decide if you wanna level or get gear. Bored of that, go do some pvp battlegrounds, not your cup of tea? Go work on some manufacturing skills. Bored of that? GO make a night elf female and dance naked for some gold.
On top of that....WoW IS a much more polished game. In no way am i saying FFXI is not polished, the finished product is just not what WoW is. And you anti-wow tards can argue all you want but the numbers dont lie, WoW is thriving, FFXI is effectively dead.
WoW = 2.5 years
FFXI = 4 weeks (i tried giving it a shot, just not worth it)
I play neither now btw. WoW is not without flaws, the endgame is a huge time sink only really friendly to those willing to devote massive amounts of time to the game and the PVP is far from perfect, but its still the BEST all around MMO out right now hands down
