Cap in BST takes a couple weeks. It is very solo friend. Not as much as WoW. Every aspect of WoW is just easier. FFXI BST takes alot more skill than solo in WoW.

FFXI is definately not dead. Their subscribers are still massive. FFXI now has more Towns and cities which means the people per unit area is reduced. People don't crowd Jueno because there are several new areas. Also more people log on and know where they want to go so the chill time in cities has definately decreased. FFXI still has one of the highest subscriber rates whether u like it or not.

FFXI is more polished than WoW. There is far more content, the systems are more refined and tweaked. It's multiplatform. Plays like a console-computer mmorpg hybrid.

Oh and for your whole testdrive and car analogy. I gave WoW all the time to figure out the ins and outs of this "car" bc i actually enjoyed it and found it worth my money. Thinking about the fact that I wasted money on FFXI makes me cry.

And in ffxi notice there are tons of people doing instance quests for gear. Decide if you wanna level or get gear. Bored of that, go do some pvp battlegrounds, not your cup of tea? Go work on some crafting skills. Bored of that? GO make a elvaan female and dance naked for some gold.

You see "tard" FFXI has all the afore mentioned features and more than WoW does. You played FFXI for 4 weeks and you barely tipped the ice berg. Anyone who quits ffxi because they end up taking 2 hours to get a party is a ffxi noob who never got anywhere.

Only Noobs, and newbs spend 2 hours getting a party, I'm sorry.

My point is that You got into wow test drove the car checked out all the features while u looked at FFXI from a distance fumbled on the manual transmition and because you weren't skilled enough to get anywhere you flame it. FFXI is most definately harder to get into, most definately. You gave up before you could.

I played both for about 1 year and a half. Both are fun great games. But FFXI has more content, is more challenging, and when you know what your doing is more fun and a more memorable experience than WoW.
