wow i love how everyone gets all angry when wow is in a topic by looking at peoples posts its clear to see that most people like FFXI rather than wow and NO it is not because most of this community hate wow because as you can see this is not a "is wow a good game thread" this is a wow vs "insert game here" thread so the outcome could have been completely different.
If you do not have alot of knowledge about the games then dont post please saying i played the game for a week shows you didnt even get to see what the game was actually like i for one dont like having to get to a certain level before i start having fun but with ffxi that was different i got help for alot of my storyline quests and started enjoying it properly from level 6 onwards
on the other hand
I played wow because a friend of mine from guildwars said i should get the game since its good so i played it until about level 20 and i hated it because i hate typical quests i.e go to this npc get this quest go kill this monster 20 times return quests rinse and repeat i had to keep checking out raid vids etc to motivate myself to log on and level.
They are both well made games and both very successful and when it comes down to a thread like this its all going to be peoples opinions rather than facts. We all know WoW is the most successful mmorpg out atm but that doesnt mean its the best at all.
If you want flame away but its kinda obvious that the community of onrpg prefer ffxi over wow ITS NOT A PUBLIC DEBATE it is an onrpg debate so pasted all these facts is just stupid since only the members here are going to post if you think this forum hates wow and you want the topic to be biased so wow wins then go right ahead and post it on their official forums i bet you get the answer u want there
