It *might* be because I just put a new DVD drive in...but, I don't think thats it. It has been running smoothly for like 4 days now. >_< I"m gonna try again when I don't have anything else to get ruined by it.

No, I don't think it was a patch guys...

Write down the stop error message eg: STOP: 0x0000 (A combo of numbers n letters)

Also the stop error message can also contain words like KERNAL_BLAH BLAH BLAH ETC

after you write down the stop error go to http://support.microsoft.com/ and type your stop error message into the search bar. It'll help you step by step to fix the problem.
