I never said it was bad, just not better. Are you saying WoW isnt a quality game? sure quality is better than quantity, BUT WoW is Quantity + Quality combined, you cannot deny that it was very well made and that's why people still play it. I'm not saying FFXI isn't a quality game, but there's a reason for such a small player base, thats why FFXI is not better -- player wise than WoW is.
And like you said no one really cares about 500,000 or 7 million, that's why the game isnt growing, doesn't that kind of say something? maybe it's already hit it's peak and to welcome new players it has to offer something that's more welcoming to a broader audience.
WoW is made for a broader audience, so of course it is easier, therefore more people can enjoy it.
