9 Million is peanuts. Comparitively, peanuts. I mean, Maplestory has that number in Japan ALONE. Then China adds about 27 million, Korea 14 million, Global 3 million. And before you say it's not p2p, TONS people EASILY spend the same as a WoW sub monthly on 2x EXP, game items, tokens, shops, pets, cosmetics, weddings each month. Easy. Does that make it a better game than WoW? Because by your logic,
"If it was a better game, it'd be talked about more, meaning it would have more than just 500,000+ players with 1.7million characters only."
So that means Maplestory must blow WoW out of the ballpark, along with all the other games that are immensely popular in Asia like Audition, Ragnarok or Perfect World, that have way more that 9 Million subscribers.

I was talking about this in North America, please refer to my other posts before you even begin to flame. And this discussion is about FFXI and WoW, what I state is true between those two.
Oh also, if they spend the same amount as a wow monthly, since you're going number crazy, what are their profits compared to WoW? Even though my question is irrelevant it is just as irrelevant as what you have posted.
