Looking for a Good Anime To Watch - Page 2

I don't know much about anime (except for death note, which squallion introduced me to, all I'd seen before was pokemon, digimon, and naruto, and while they're good for kids they're none of them the sort of thing I'd actually enjoy watching anymore. So I was surprised to find that death note is good)

anyway, the only other one I know of and am interested in but haven't checked out yet is Full Metal Alchemist. It also sounds like it fits your criteria, from the very little I know about it. (so if it turns out to be a book comic, very old, or a very limited series, etc., I'm completely (and blissfully, a lot of it is still crap imo) ignorant of anime, and can't be blamed)

Instead of asking here, you could just read Piro's newsposts, where he mentions like every anime ever made, I'm pretty sure. http://www.megatokyo.com/

FMA is a good pick. Supposedly a *masterpiece*
51 episodes, an 2003-2004 work.
The animation is acceptable despite being pretty old, and the action/storyline is excellent.

There's also Rie Kugimiya

Anime guy says : Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni

It's about mysterious murders happenning in some village

Each chapter presents a different version of the same time period...
At least watch the first 4 episodes (the first chapter)

They just ended the second season (Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai)
and they're releasing a live-action movie soon o_o

Also, The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi is pretty awesome

Samurai Champloo is a must-watch...

But the closest to Death Note would be Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni

Very suspenseful!!!! or its predecessor.... Akagi.
But Akagi is wholly about Riichi Mahjong...

But seriously, I don't watch much Anime, but InuYasha was a good Anime (for me, atleast). Most episodes (atleast the ones I watched) have long fight scenes that last for at least half the episode. One of the downfalls to this is that it lacked a deep, epic storyline. It's a shame they axed the Anime early, though....
