"S-Stop the killing!" Spica shouted, pouring water on the soldiers' wounds as she follows Lumi and the others. As Spica ran, she saw one soldier badly hurt and stopped in front of him. She poured some water on some of his minor wounds, healing them. "There you'll be fine now." Spica said, smiling at the soldier. The soldier looked back, wondering why she healed him. After healing the soldier's wounds, Spica turned back just to find out that she was surrounded by soldiers. She looked around, trying to find where Lumi and the others are and saw them dashing through the streets. Spica took one step forward, and prepared herself to cast a spell.

Ravaging Winds

Spica rotated her hands around and around, creating a small tornado, smoke of dust filling the whole place. As the dust clears, Spica was gone...

Spica was running across the street, trying to find where Lumi and the others went. Then she saw Lumi entering a house. Spica ran towards the house but as she came closer, she saw a man approach the house.

((OOC: Is it okay if I change my spells a bit? Spica already got the role as the healer, and, quite frankly, I hate blening in (in RPs, that is). So, when you see this, can I get permission to edit my spells to make her more of a defensive and destraction person (maybe even have one real attack)? ))

((@lokuri: Spica isn't a healer... Her spell, Water's Blessing can only heal minor wounds and if you'll notice, that's her only healing spell. Spica is more of a fighter...))

"Welcome to my home." Algus said to the others. "Please, sit down at the table." He gathered them all to the table. "As we all know, the Magi Round-Ups are becoming more frequent nowadays. We need to leave the city for now before we can devise a more complete plan of action." Algus looked at the group to see if they were listening. "In my younger days, I used to traverse the sewers to leave the city. The entrance shouldn't be guarded, so we should leave the Aethis through there." He then noticed how rude it was of him to have not introduced himself. "My, how rude of me. I haven't introduced myself. My name is Algus Zeredit, I'm a scholar and natural researcher." He bowed curteously to the others. "And you all are...?"

Lumi merely smiled and gave a small nod, as if saying she now knew he was not an enemy. Turning from the man, she walked up to Algus, standing by his side. She stared him in the eyes, her grin growing wider.

"Algus, you already know who I am," Lumi joked. "Oh, but, for those who do not know me, my name is Lumi Vesper. Pleased to meet all of you. Now that that is over, everyone else can come up and introduce yourself to Algus, like he said. Hehe, alright, I shall get out of the way!"

Lumi walked up beside the others and realized that someone was missing. It was the female fighter who was overlly concerned for the soldier's well being. Sighing, Lumi hoped she was okay and did not run into too much trouble.

"I too was like her," Lumi suddenly thought. "But, after seeing how many they have hurt...how they are constantly chasing us...as though we are sinister beings hoping to destroy the world! We just want to live alongside everyone else, not having to use our powers to kill. She should know that if she keeps healing them like that, they will edventually betray here. It takes just one day for the soldiers to figure out that you have this weakness, and then they will capture you! If they do not kill you, they will use you as a weapon for fighting and protecting themselves! That is why, even though I am a healer, I can't...I can't ever heal the soldiers I kill or wound. They will only figure this out and one day, while I am alone, they will capture me! That girl needs to know this! Still...if only through a shimmer of hope...maybe...maybe working along side them...could bring peace for the mages...for all the mages everywhere. Perhaps, if we render ourselves to the soldiers, they will see that we are really decent people. I do not want to live this life...a life of fear...a life of killing...a life that is like a bird trapped in a cage! Come on Algus! Find a way to save us! To save the mages of the world! A way to escape our prison and set us free!

"Algus," Lumi found herself saying," Algus, will we always live this life? Ah, sorry, thinking outloud. Ahahahah, please, ignore me."

Ynyseh stood at the back of the room like a shadow. His face was completely hidden, his voice like a strained whisper and a blood-curdling scream at the same time. "My name is Ynyseh Unehti. If any of you repeat it to a living soul, you will die in your beds. I am here because of my insatiable curiosity, not out of the need to help you. Cross me, and your sould will lieave your body before your corpse hits the ground."

He finally looked up, his sadistic smile cutting like a bloodstained dagger across the room. "That said, it is my pleasure to meet you."

Lumi turned to the guy who minutes before seemed to be trustworthy.

"My name is Ynyseh Unehti. If any of you repeat it to a living soul, you will die in your beds. I am here because of my insatiable curiosity, not out of the need to help you. Cross me, and your sould will lieave your body before your corpse hits the ground." The man told everyone. "That said, it is my pleasure to meet you."

She could hear silance within the room. Turning her body to completly face the man, she led him out of the house quickly, smiling slightly at everyone. Outside, she closed the door so that the conversation would not be heard. Then she gazed upon Ynyeh Unehti with stern, unmoving eyes before speaking.

"What is the meaning of that introduction?" She questioned, still looking upon him like she was staring at his very soul. "I let down my guard because I thought I could trust you. I let you in because I thought you would be of some help. Then you go in like some kind of psycho, saying you will kill us if we tell anyone about you and that you are only there for observing, not for helping us. I certainly hope you are not an enemy to us. With that introduction, anyone would feel that way. Why would you say such things? Everyone is here to help those who are being hunted by the soldiers and to assist other mages here and far to overcome the constant battles between the mages and soldiers. Now, if you are saying such things, it makes you almost sound like a double agent, working as a spy who has already given himself to the soldiers. Why do you not wish to be welcomed with open arms, instead of watched upon with side glances of uncertainty? Please, tell me your means of that speech!"

"It's a disclaimer." Ynyseh's countanence was as plain as stone. "I have worked with people in the past who felt they were entitled to certain...privilages. Our proverbial heads butted on multiple issues. I felt it pertinant to make sure such trials were not the case here."

His ice-cold eyes moved to Lumi. "And if you think that this world is kind and selfless, I'd suggest you go present your case to the patrols outside. Grow up, little girl."

Lumi was shocked at what Ynyeh had said. Not only did he think that he could not easily trust people, but that the world was too selfish and cruel to allow her miracle to occur. Fuming, she tightened her already cletched fists.

"How could you think that way?" Lumi questioned loudly. "Of course, I will not deny that everyone has darkness in their hearts and are following that path now by trying to kill us, but if we too submit to that darkness, are we no different from them? If we do not try to have a shimmer of hope that one day, maybe even after our time, the world can live with both humans and human mages, that we can one day stand hand in hand, we will always live in fear and regret. Someone has to stand up to this trial at hand! I do not know about you, but I am through running away! I want to live in a peaceful world, free from the filling of being hunted down like a defenseless animal. We can not maintain our strength forever. We will either die a bloody death or surrender ourselves to the soldiers if we go about the path you seek and follow."

She noticed that she had lost her temper with a guy who very much could be her enemy if she angered. Blushing, she bowed slightly, then rose with her hands in a pleading position (or praying).

"I am sorry for that outburst," Lumi apologized. "It is just that lately, I have grown tired of running. I want to feel hope, and see the world as a wonderful and peaceful paradise. I do not want to stare at the dreary, bleak sky as the trapped bird in her cage, but soar across glorious blue skies, the sun shinning down upon the world as though to say, 'the war is over!' I know it is merely a fantasy, but would it not be desirable? Or, do you like to be constantly in feuds and battles with the soldiers?"
