"Uhhh... Huh?" Spica awoke and found herself being carried by a man.
"You're the one from yesterday." Spica said weakly. She looked around to see Lumi and the others following the man who's carrying her. As they take a turn, they saw soldiers blocking the way.
"They must've reacted from my spell... Gah!" Spica tried to get down from the man's back to fight the soldiers but she felt pain all over her body as she tried to move.

"S-Sorry... my body's still weak from the spell... I guess i'm... really useless..." Spica said as she tries to catch her breath.

((OOC: sry, i'm busy with two things so i can't post like i used to. 1) Drawing concept arts/rough sketches of characters for the anime. 2) Summarizing one of his novels to use on a certain RP.))

Lumi, who was ignored and abandoned, banged her head on the hard concrete below. Waking up with a start, she saw Algus carrying Spica out with the others. Rushing to them while rubbing her now sore head, she gasped as she noticed the soldiers waiting for them. Whipping out her Vesper Wand, she twirled in her hand as she got ready for an attack.

"Alright, time to take down a few enemies that seem to be in our way," Lumi muttered, then turned and winked at Spica. "Oh, but do not worry, I will not kill them, just enough force to knock them out, heh!"

Lumi grasped her Vesper Wand with both hands, which began to glow at the bottom a variety of cool colors (purple, blue, green, and colors in between) as she closed her eyes and began to chant.

"Oh spirit of wind hear my plea,
May your spirit take form,
A fierce force indeed.
Bond our spirits so we become one,
Our devine powers flowing together,
Becoming a dangerous force to our foes.
Now we will hold hands as we chant,
Our invisable arms encircling our prey,
Their bodies hovering on a gentle breeze.
Now that breeze shall increase,
Becoming a strong gust of wind,
Sending them high into the heavens.
May our powers punish them,
As we change the wind's shape,
Transforming it into a mighty blade of air.
AWAKENING WALTZ!!!

Lumi's being began to glow as her body was enclosed with a vicious wind. The wind blew harshly as it shot forth at three soldiers, who were standing at the exit, whirling around at the sound of rushing wind. They sreamed as their whole being was hurled high into the air, almost touching the sewer's ceiling. Wind in the shape of half disc spinned and spiralled at them, knocking them unconscious as they began to tumble to the ground. Without hesitation, Lumi quickly flicked her wand out and aimed it at the three free-falling soldiers, who in turn all floated down, light as a feather, onto the damp ground below. As soon as she sighed with relief, however, a new group of targets raced out around the corner.

"Aww, come on, give me a break!" Lumi exclaimed with a moan. "Algus, you think you can handle these?"

As more soldiers appeared, he could hear a man shout "Stand down!" The soldiers sheathed their weapons and kneeled in the prescence of the man. He was tall, with a lean build, with short black hair, wearing light steel armor with a steel mask over his face. He carried a large, golden axe with him, and the symbol on his breastplate, which indicated that he was a symbol of authority. I am Judas, captain of the Steel Knights branch of the Aethis Knights. You caused quite a ruckus yesterday, Algus Carmack." Algus let out a deep sigh as the rest of the group gasped in shock. "It's true, I'm the son of Arthur Carmack, captain of the Dragon Knights...." he sighed. "I changed my surname to save my family, for if they found out I was his son, they'd kill him...." he continued. Judas smirked "Well, your father can still prove useful. I've come to take all of you to his majesty......" Judas flashed another smirk. "Everyone, you must run!" Algus shouted. "There's an alternate exit to the west, you must hurry!" He set down the young girl on his back, entrusting her to Lumi. "Algus, wait--" Lumi said, but Algus interrupted her, firing fireballs at the ceiling until it crumbled, caving in and creating a wall between himself and the rest of the group. "I'll hold him off! You must hurry!" he shouted. Algus unsheathed his dagger, preparing to cast a spell....

O light that rains down on heaven and earth, bring my enemies to their destined annihilation....Fortune' Arc!

A large crucifix appeared out of nowhere, annihilating all of the soldiers, but doing almost nothing to Judas. "Hehe, how pathetic...." Judas snickered. "My dark force is more powerful than yours of light! You cannot hope to defeat me!" Judas began chanting the incantation to a spell....

O hellion whose roar chills the very soul, resound! Bloody Howling!

A dark force surrounded Algus, a bloodcurdling howl emitting from it. Algus' ears began to bleed and he began to lose grasp on his conciouness. As he fell to the ground, he stammered "Judas.....a magic user? But....why....why would you....betray your own kind...?" "I have seen the light. His way is the only way, my friend..." Judas replied. "The...king's way?" Algus said as he fell into unconciousness......

Algus awoke in a cold cell. "They must've tossed me in prison" Algus muttered to himself. He discovered afterwards that his hands had been restrained, and his weapons confiscated. "Mother....father....I hope you're alright...." he said to himself, trying to keep his mind off of his eventual death. It was then, that he remembered the melody he was humming in the kitchen the other day, the soothing melody granted him peace, and he forgot all negative thoughts....

Algus learned Faerie's Elegy!

A guard then came in to give him his food. Removing his restraints, Algus remembered that the guards didn't take his harp. After eating his food, he picked up his harp, wondering what this new song would do. He began to play the melody, and a circle of light began to form in the hallway, blasting the guards with a flash of light. They fell to the ground, dead, and Algus reached through the bars of his cell to grab the key from the nearest guard. He then saw that someone was one step ahead of him, as a spear flew across the hallway, jamming right into the lock of his cell. The spear then twisted itself, unlocking the door to Algus' cell. He then saw a large figure come forth, prying his spear from the lock. The man was tall and very muscular, wearing ripped trousers and a leather vest. Algus bowed to the man, thanking him. The man then nodded, and continued down the hallway. I think he wants me to follow him... Algus thought, and he began to follow the man....

Lumi looked in shock at Algus, the man called Judas seeming too familiar with her friend. She watched in horror as she listened to what the two had to say. What Algus had to say, however, made Lumi shiver inside, her eyes widening.

"It's true, I'm the son of Arthur Carmack, captain of the Dragon Knights...." Algus said with a sigh. "I changed my surname to save my family, for if they found out I was his son, they'd kill him...." Algus stopped, his voice trailling off.

"Algus," Lumi thought, her eyes looking blood-shot with fear and confusion. "What is going on? Who is this guy?

"Well, your father can still prove useful. I've come to take all of you to his majesty......" Judas flashed another smirk.

"No!" Lumi yelled in her mind. "It can't end like this! Can it...?"

"Everyone, you must run!" Algus shouted. "There's an alternate exit to the west, you must hurry!"

"Algus, wait--" Lumi felt herself pleading, but Algus just casted a fire ball after handing Spica over, and he was gone from sight as the ceiling crumbled down before her eyes.

"I'll hold him off! You must hurry!" She heard him shout on the other side.

Her grip on Spica was loosening as she listened with open ears to what was occuring on the other side of the obsticle. Her greyish green eyes shook violently in their sockets before hiding behind closed eyelids. Her silvery blue hair danced behind her as she lunged forward, tossing rock (or whatever) after rock behind her, the clinging sound echoing all around her as her fingers grew deep red from blood. She bit her bottom lip as she continued to remove the blackade in front of her. She finally got through enough so that the top was now easy to squeeze through, almost getting pummeled in the process.

"No time to waste!" Lumi exclaimed, eying the top of the pile with a soft smile. "May the Gods be watching over me. I wonder if I can still soar in the air like I did so long ago. What if my wings won't come out? No, I have to help Algus! Alright, no doubting myself! Here it goes! HOLY WINGS!"

Lumi gripped Spica tightly as a rush of wind blew all around her. She closed her eyes and the feel of feathers sproating from her back came to her. In her mind, she was standing in pure darkness, when fluttering, angelic wings emerged from her back. She opened her eyes, and even though her wings were not visable, she still felt them along her back. Arching her back, she sprung off the ground and flew high into the sky. Suddenly, she lost her balance, tumbling onto the other side, making sure she did noit land on Spica. Scanning the area, Lumi gaped in surprise. Algus, Judas, and the other soldiers had disappeared from the scene, which was unoccupied.

"Algus?" Lumi questioned, hoping he was hiding, concealed behind the corners of the sewers, or that he would leap out of nowhere and lead them to safety. "Algus, are you still here? Please, I can't lead without you. Algus, where did you go? Were you really captured!? Algus? ALGUS!? ALGUS!!!"

Lumi fell on the ground, trying to hold in tears as she pounded on the ground. She knew the exit was on the other side, but she did not know if she had the strength to make it over again.

"Algus, how am I suppose to go on without you?" Lumi thought, gazing down at the floor beneath her, which had murky water all around her. "I am not strong enough to be leader. Someone like you should know that. I am just a healer. When we first met, I didn't even know the word 'fight' until I hung around you. In the end, I am too weak to go on without someone stronger over-looking me. Even when I fight, I am still very much afraid. It is only when I know you are near...when I know you are around...I can gain the power to rise to the occasion. Heh, it makes me sound like a coward. I am still a child, inside and out, after all. Someone who only lives off dreams and can only fulfill them with the help of someone else...no. Algus knows that I have become stronger. That is why he left things up to me. Still, I wonder if I can fill his shoes while he is away. Algus, hurry up and come back to us, okay?"

((OOC: Okay, so I kind of portrayed Lumi as weak and what-not in this post *must stop watching anime...its going into my post * but I hope this leads into a flashback or what-not, like how Algus and Lumi met *-* Kay, well, I'll post later ^O^ and yeah, I reposted the conversation to get a 'feel' of the mood I wanted ~_~ V

Algus continued to follow the man, but eventually lost sight of him....He turned the corner and found a couple soldiers, who turned around and noticed him. "J-jail break!" the one man stuttered. "Damn!" Algus cursed to himself. He prepared a spell....but I haven't mastered this spell yet....oh weell, desperate times call for desperate measures!

May the mists of confusion envelop you....Deep Mist!

Soon after, a hazey mist appeared out of nowhere, impairing the soldiers' vision. Algus then hurried back around the corner and hid in a small room. He summoned a flame to light a torch, and found out that he found a weapons vault. He rummaged through the weapons and found a rather large and heavy broadsword. This will have to do for a while..... he thought to himself. He picked up the broadsword and its sheath, placing it on his back. I guess I won't be seeing my grimoire for a while.....he thought. He blew out the torch and left the room, passing the now unconcious soldiers and hurrying down the hallway....

Algus forgot Azure Edge.

After following the long hallway, he eventually found himself out of the castle once again. "I hope Lumi and the others got out safely..." he thought of thanking the man that freed him earlier, but came to the decision that there wasn't enough time. He quickly stopped by his house and changed his clothes, knowing someone was bound to recognize him if he kept wearing the same clothes. He put on a plain white shirt, followed by a blue leather vest,a bair of leather trousers and boots, a blue feather-beret, and a red cape. He then left his house and proceeded towards the sewers....

((Yeah, my post is kinda long, but I didn't want a whole dramatic jailbreak scene, so.....))

"Judas? Aethis Knights?" Though Spica really couldn't remember it now, She knew that her Master said something about them. Spica didn't have the time to remember about it, hearing Algus shout.

"Everyone, you must run!" Algus shouted. "There's an alternate exit to the west, you must hurry!" He set down Spica on his back, entrusting her to Lumi. "Algus, wait--" Lumi said, but Algus interrupted her, firing fireballs at the ceiling until it crumbled, caving in and creating a wall between himself and the rest of the group.

Spica was shocked, the only thing she could do was listen on what's happening on the other side and stare at the pile of rocks in front of them as Lumi tries to remove the blockade. Finally, Lumi managed to remove some of the rocks on the top, enough for them to squeeze through. She casted a spell then they jumped to the other side. Spica stared blankly into space as she saw that they were already gone.
"No... No, No..." Tears fell from Spica's eyes. Spica tried to stand, enduring the pain, her feet was shaking and walked a few steps before she fell on her knees.
"W-We have to save him!" Spica shouted as she tried to stand again. But right after Spica stood, she lost her balance and fell into the murky waters of the sewers. "We... have to... save him..." Tears continued to flow from her eyes.
"I can't... let it happen again..." Spica said as she remembered what happened before...

It was after Spica left for the Capital, she went to a hidden village where magic users reside and stayed there for a few days before continuing her journey.

She stayed at the orphanage, playing with the children there everyday and eventually loved the village. This is where Spica decided to forget going to the Capital and just stay in the village, protecting them. But one night, soldiers came, torches in their hands.
They burnt every house they saw and killed everyone. Spica tried to hold them off with her "Divine Breaker" from going to the orphanage where most of the children are. She aimed the spell on the ground and only tried to scare them off, She tried to endure the pain on her chest for a few seconds, hoping that the soldiers would buy it and leave. But she failed doing so, falling into the ground, looking up at the captain of the soldiers as he grins at her and commands his troops to kill everyone on the orphanage. Spica cried as she hear the screams of the children as they get slaughtered. The captain of the soldiers raised his sword and was about to kill Spica when suddenly a mysterious girl came and shot the captain with a rifle, killing him. Spica looked up at the girl as she approaches her, then she lost her consciousness. As Spica woke up, she found herself lying under a tree in the hill near the village. She thought that it was only a dream but as she came back to the village, the only thing she saw were burnt down houses. Spica kneeled down and made a prayer for everyone in the village, a tear flowed out of her eyes...

While Lumi waited, she saw Spica too fall to the ground. Lifting her body (Spica's) off the ground and against the pile of rubble, Lumi gazed up at the ceiling. Memories of how she lost her father to the soldiers.

An eight year old girl with bluish black hair skipped merely down a street of coal. Her tiny fingers clung to that of a man's, who smiled warmly down at her. She was wearing a yellow dress with yellow bows in her hair, white gloves, and white shoes. Since it was her birthday, they were headed to a shop when a wand with crystal material at the bottom half of it clattered on the ground. Her grayish green eyes echoed with shock as she raced forward to retrieve it, but was stopped by her father, who's puppy dog green eyes were filled with grief. He shook his head, saddened eyes beginning to close.

"But Papa, that's the Vesper Wand you gave me today for my birthday!" Lumi cried, her head tilting down to face the shimmering object. "It is so pretty and has our last name in it. Why can't I keep Papa's gift?"

"It really is a wand!" A man with black hair and brown eyes shouted from a distance.

"So, she must be a magic user!" A soldier yelled, ordering his followers to keep up with him. "Looks like we are lucky today. This will be the third child today, excluding all the adult mages we caught."

"Lumi, run!" Her father commanded, his bushy brown hair ruffling in the wind. "What ever happens, do not look around! I want you to run away from here as fast as possible. GO!"

"No, Papa!" Lumi watched in horror as one of the soldiers stuck a sword in his back, his now stern eyes told her not to disobay, but she could not abandon him. "Papa! No! We aren't the bad guys! They killed Papa! They killed Papa! Why!? Why are all those people looking at us with such hate!? They killed Papa! They are the bad guys! They are! NoooOOoooOo!"

Lumi held her arms folded over her cold, pale legs, biting her lip. She tried to hold back hot tears as the sparkling liquid sprinted down her check.

"Why am I so weak?" Lumi asked herself. "If I ran faster, I could have..."

"Aha, Papa, its so pretty!" Lumi chirped as she eyed the Vesper Wand. "This is the best birthday ever.

Her father just grinned at her, their faces warm with happiness.

"...I could of saved their happiness, and mine," Lumi finished in her head before dozing off.

((OOC: Erm, yeah, I thought Algus was going to do the flashback on how they met >_< oh well, Lumi can dream about it or something...

Algus hurried through the sewers, hoping to catch up to Lumi and the others in time. He took an alternate path, just incase, but still ran into a few monsters on the way. Weilding the greatsword reminded him of the long hours spent training with his father. "Those were the days..." he said to himself as he turned a corner. He remembered being scared of the old training dummy his father used. Heck, he was scared of everything back then. He then remembered the time when he met Lumi. Though they hadn't known each other very long, he had taken a liking to her, realizing she was a lot like him when he was younger....

Algus continued through the sewers, but before he took the west path to the alternate exit, he heard....crying? It was coming from the spot where Judas had kidnapped him. This could be a trap....he thought to himself, but shook the thought and turned the corner towards the north exit. He peered around the corner to see a familiar white blouse and silver hair...."Lumi?"

Lumi's head spinned as she started to climb the ladder down to sleep. Then she realized she was still cying. The now chilling crystals still danced and sped down her pale cheecks. She harshly slammed her eyelids together, her lip allowing oozing red liquid to escape from the bottom inside as her teeth continued to sink into it.

Lumi chocked on her her spit and began coughing. Her frail, small legs caved in from running and she slid across the concrete alleyway. Gazing up around herself, she spotted a huge wall blocking any passage. Grasping her wounded and injured legs, she felt her quivering lips meet her left, unscarred
leg. As hard as she tried, she felt the warm, clear liquid escape from her bottom eyelid. She was now ten, and had escaped once again from death, this time sacrificing her brother.

"Cryin?" Lumi asked herself. "I promised mommy and papa that I would not cry. I promised them that two years ago! I am ten now. I should be strong enough not to cry, so why? Ah, why couldn't I heal them? I had been practicing! I could have saved them, right? Why couldn't I heal them? Ow! My wound is getting worse! If only...if only my magic would heal myself. Aaayeeeh, why am I so weak? Why...why...why...? And brother...why did I have to lose him too? What if...what if I am next?"

"Hey, are you okay?" Lumi's vision began to blur as a shadowed figure appoached her. "Oh, if you do not mind, could I possibly get your name? I could help you find your parents. Huh, why the sad face?"

"My parents...they...they aren't with me anymore," Lumi told him, becoming dizzy. "They protected me to the very end. I had my brother, but he too is no longer with me."
"Oh...sorry...I guess I should have not asked such a question," The boy replied, his body becoming unstable in Lumi's eyes. "Oh, I also forgot my manners! My name is...well...that is to say...oh, is that a wand? So, your a mage too. Well, in that case, my name is Algus Zeredit, nice to meet you! Hey, don't cry. Oh, your hurt! Her, this should help. Why don't you come with me, um...what is your name?"

"My name is..."

"Lumi?" Algus called out, jolting Lumi out of her trance.

"Algus!" Lumi exclaimed. "Where did you go? Are you hurt? What happened? I was...well...worried..."
