Chocolate rain, not exactly in the genres you listed, but it's impossible to hate.

Anyways, you can't just look up chart-toppers in those genres on teh internetz, Limewire, or iTunes?

Did I ever say Boys Like Girls was emo? Not that I recall.
And I never said Emo was similar to Pop Punk, I just wanted to know some good bands from that genre to put on there. Alternative isn't really similar to Pop Punk either, but I put that on the list anyways. It's just what she's into.

Please get off the internetz.

Big thanks to the people that actually helped out, I think I've got enough to make an album here.
Well,i f she wants emo, get some Tristan Tzara, Moss Icon, Heroin, Assfactor 4, The Little Rock Nine, Antioch Arrow, Orchid and that's if she's into the hard stuff.

You want light emo? Go for Mineral, Cap'n Jazz, The Jazz June, Street Smart cyclist, Algernon Cadwallader(AC is by the most accessible I've listed here), Lync, Maya Shore, etc.

That's my help. For Pop punk, the pink razor blades are pretty excellent.

For alternative, turn on a radio.

And call me an elitist, but if your girlfriend likes that group of singing vaginas, chances are she doesn't even like real emo.
