I figured that I can't possibly be the only one on this board who has an obsession with the Pokémon games. Honestly, I've played them for years now and I have no complaints about them yet, save the horrendous overmarketing.

That's beside point. I'm currently on the "grind to level 100" point of Pearl, so I figured there has to be a way to take out my enthusiasm on something else. Why not a forum board.

This one will let you take the role of a trainer and up to four Pokémon of your choice. These cannot include any Legendary Pokémon, meaning nothing that's one-of-a-kind. Anything else goes. I need the folloing info about your trainer:

Years Training: (no one can legally train before the age of 10)

Description: She has blond hair that come to her shoulders, which is curled and put into two ponetails. She wears a blue hat with a symbol on it over her head. Her eyes are blue and she is both kind and energetic. She wants to have the most gracefully strong pokemon ever, so she trains a lot. *added* Her outfit consisted of jeans with red flowers on the right side. She had on a black shirt with the word "win" in red on it and a blue hoodie. She had blue and white running shoes on.

History Brief: Star grew up with a mother, father a kid sister (who is 8 now). While her father moved away oversees, Star and her family moved to Sandgem Town (beginning town, also called Masago Town, or, the Town of Sand! -info from wiki-. There they settled down and Star started her journey at the age of 14. So far, she has a total of three pokemon, including the very first one she got.

Recently, she has found a Glaceon who was injured by Valor Lake. Taking her with her, she now has a total of four Pokémon. Also, as noticed, she cares deeply for her Pokémon, even able to sacrifice herself for them. Many think this is idiotic, but this is her way to show her bond for her Pokémon, knowing that in turn, she has to grow strong like her Pokémon.

Thank god. You seem to know what you're doing, lokuri. Roxas...we're going to have to talk. Anyway, here's the one you'll be traveling with.

Name: Richard "Rik" Netherland

Years Training: 8 years and four months


Description: Rik likes to be comfortable. He is never seen without his favorite black hoodie and a pair of loose jeans. His brownish-blond hair is long and kept tied back at all times. His eyes are blue but usually covered by sunglasses. On his belt are six Pokéballs with enough scratches to show that he's had them for a while. His skin is a bit pale, he's short and thin, and he usually has an arrogant smirk on his face. He usually carries his backpack over his right shoulder.

History Brief: Rik was a competitive boy for as long as his parents can remember. When he was old enough to become a trainer, he took a firey approach to it. He muscled his way through the Sinnoh and Kanto Leagues winning himself two seventh-place awards from the respective Leagues and sixteen badges to show his prowess. Now he takes a more freelance approach to training, challenging anyone and everyone he can to battles and winning the overwhelming majority. He makes a troublesome ally and a dangerous enemy.

Style: Rik is a Dark-type trainer. He uses swift attacks to his enemies' flanks and underhanded tactics to emerge victorious in every battle he picks. He has no problem with fighting dirty, and if he sees an opening he doesn't think twice about exploiting it. In the first League bouts he went through he was called the "Psychic-Slayer" because of his ridiculously effective anti-Psychic stratagies, and he can handle an opponent who likes to counter with Fighting-types almost as well. For some reason he seems to have quite a bit of trouble with enemies who relyon stat-changing skills or buffs, but he's trying to work on that. For sure, this is one trainer you don't want pissed off at you.

Sinnoh was many things. For several it was home. For others it was a place to find rare and valuable Pokémon. More thought of it as a place to earn glory and renown through the Sinnoh League.

Of course some, like Team Galactic, weren't so positive about the region, or indeed the world at all. Though they had been given a thourough whooping by the Sinnoh Champion, Galactic still posed a threat to almost everyone under the new management of Saturn.

It was because of this threat that Rik found himself in Veilstone City, trying his hardest to stir up new information. Team Galactic was rumored to have its hideout located in Veilstone, but Rik had turned up a big load of nada thus far. It was beginning to annoy him. And when he got annoyed, he got violent.

He noticed a random person with Pokéballs attached to her belt, meaning she was a trainer.

"Perfect," he though to himself. "No better way to make this day a little more interesting."

Of course, if he was anything, Rik was not subtle. He shouted to his intended victim "Hey, little girl!" Even when she turned to face him he didn't lower his voice a bit. "You're a trainer, so I challenge you to a Pokémon battle, right here, right now!"

Star Marriott, who had managed to use almost all her items in battles and training, had managed to make it to Veilstone City.

She was on her way to the Veilstone Department Store to buy some Escape Ropes, Hyper Potions, Revives, and some Full Heals.

Since she had also made a hideout, she was also planning to buy a TV, since she already had cushions to place around it, and a Cupboard, so she could have something to put on when getting a snack from her Refrigerator.

On my way out, I can even pick up some Bubble Mail for mom at home. Hmmm, I should put something like: "Dear mom, I am have a very fun time with my Pokémon! Bluebird still likes to pick trainers when he loses. Beauty is becoming even more lovely by the days with her combinations of Silver Wind and Gust. Even Ember is becoming more fired up with strength and a lovable charm. I think Ember might level up soon too!

Star nodded with happiness, but before she could even reach her destination, however, some psycho PokéManiac was trying to pick a fight with her. When she turned around, a boy with brownish-blond hair was staring directly at her, obviously craving a battle.

"Hey, sorry, but I do not have the time to battle," Star replied calmly but sternly. "Besides, my Pokémon are still weak from training. I have to go to the Pokémon Center. See ya!"

"What? HEY!"

Rik could do nothing to stop her from running away. It was dissapointing to see a potential battle slip away, but chasing after her into a Pokémon Center wouldn't do any good. He simply had to take it in stride and hope that she didn't leave town before he could pulverize her Pokémon into little bits.

"But not now," he thought to himself. "I have to wait."

And so he did...for about three seconds. Then he yelled to no one in particular "AAARGH!! I HATE waiting!"

He stormed off towards the old Team Glactic hidout in hopes of finding something of importance, or maybe (hopefully) even a trainer he could battle.

OOC: So you're using bublapedia, too? Cool. This means we both know the same stuff.

Inside the Pokémon Center, Star spotted Nurse Joy in a matter of seconds. Like all the Nurse Joys in any town, the woman was a Pokémon nurse who used spar beds for Pokémon to sleep in and recover. She always wore a smile when greeting people, her pink ponytail "loops" dancing more than her short, puffy bangs. A nurse outfit and hat with a blue cross on it was what she normally wore, although you could catch thw Nurse Joys with normal clothing on sometimes if you are lucky.

"Hello Pokémon trainer, my name is Nurse Joy," Nurse Joy greeted happily. "May I take you Pokémon to cure their wounds?"

"Yes please," Star could not help but smile at the kind lady as she released her Pokémon from their Pokéballs. "Come on out, Bluebird! Your turn, my lovely Beauty! Last but not least, Ember! Heh, hiya guys! This Nurse Joy is going to let you guys rest for awhile, okay? I will be back for all of you in a bit, so be good and get plenty of rest."

Looking around, Star noticed that there were not that many people in the Pokémon Centers she had encountered in the past. The place only held an old man, a business man, and two kids playing together. Usually, Pokémon Centers where filled with Pokémon Trainers, but not today.

"Strange," She mumbled to herself as she walked outside. "Well, off to the Veilstone Department Store!"

((OOC: I was not sure if I should of used the device used in Inside the Pokémon games or anime show, but I thought the anime show was a bit more realistic with the beds and all ))

Nothing again. Patience was *not* one of Rik's strong suits. A huge, multi-storied building that must have cost thousands to build, and they left it completely empty. He couldn't even find anything in the old Glactic database. They had completely cleaned out as they left. Nothing was left.

He was getting increasingly frustrated. Frustration waseasily relieved by conflict, but his target had scampered. His temper was raising, and he had to do something about it.

He heard something behind him. Turning to see what the noise was revealed nothing but a few white-ish blurs descending the stairs very quickly. He snickered to himself as he raced after them. "Finally a battle, I thought I was going to have to look for that girl again."

On the ground floor he finally found them. Two Galactic members from their uniforms. One of them stopped running and turned arnound, grabbing his companion by the collar. "Hey, wait a second! There are two of us and one of him! What're we running for?"

His partner got off the floor and rubbed his head, before taking out a Pokéball. "Good question. We'll just take his Pokémon and be off!"

They both threw their Pokéballs at once, revealing a Dustox and a Heracross. Rik snorted and smirked as he grabbed a single Pokéball from his belt, colored silver with a red ring around the center, and threw it before him. When the light cleared a Weavile stood with its claws sharpened.

"Come on, Zaku. You need a workout!"

The Dark-type Pokémon snarled once and charged at his targets. Of course, the novice grunts were convinced that they were going to win this two-on-one battle. "This guy is an idiot! One Pokémon against both of ours, and it has a huge type disadvantage!"

The other one snorted back "Yeah, but it's rare. Let's take it for a bonus! Heracross, use a Megahorn!"

The large beetle lunged at Zaku, lowering its huge horn straight at Rik's Pokémon. Zaku was faster, however, and blocked the attack with a single claw.

"Heh. You guys have a lot to learn. Zaku, Night Slash!"

The Weavile thrust his claw upwards, knocking the enemy backwards. He then quickly spun and slashed its backside with both talons, sending it flying forwards and onto the ground.

Rik wasted no time. "The next one, Zaku! Faint attack!"

Zaku reacted instantly. His eyes shimmered once, then he disappeared from view. The Dustox looked left and right, but couldn't find a thing. That is, until he suddenly crashed to the ground with a Dark-type on top of him. Zaku turned and looked at the two grunts behind him, glaring and growling like a rabid dog.

Rik was still smirking. "Sing, little birdies. Tell me what you were doing here, and where I can find your hideout, now."

OOC: You understand that I never watched the anime? I think of Pokémon as a terriffic RPG series, not a franchise of overmarketing and cutesy mice. If you want to, find a good reason why there was a wild Glaceon. I'll have no qualms with it as long as you explain what an extremely-rare, evloved Pokémon was doing in the wild.

And us battling is not required. That's just the way that Rik is.

Star entered the department store, swiftly approaching the cashier on the first bloor by using the stairs. First she brought 10 Escape Ropes, 25 Great Balls, 30 Ultra Balls, and 6 Bubble Mails. Seeing as she would be travelling for awhile, she decided to get 12 super repels as well from the left cashier.

Moving on to the right, she brought 36 Hyper Potions and even 48 Super Potions for minor wounds. She then brought 36 revives, just in case she had to battle the energetic boy she encountered.

She finished up with 48 full heals. Sprinting up the stairs, she made it to the forth floor.

Before anyone around her knew what was going on, she brought her cupboard and TV, vanishing within a blink of an eye into the elevator.

Hoping to get her Pokémon and miss encountering the strange boy, she slowed down a bit and waited on the roof area till dark, staring out as the sun set.
