Yes, it is the slim version, and the 2000 series PSP.
I have the White Dark Vader one, and they are similar, other than the color.

Also, daxter is a fun game how ever the story goes so fast parts are hard to enjoy personally. (Huge rpg fan) also the thing i kept doing on accadent is hitting x while a Cutscene was shown because I am use to doing that for text, dont do it, it ends the cutscene and u cannot see it again... or i havent found a easy way at least.

All screen sizes should be the same, and YES YES get a screen protector, I got one the day I bought mine (it was hard was in Japan then lol) and it has saved me so many times, dropping it on acadent or something being put on top on accadent. They cost like $3 max and are the best thing ever for anything like this.

Woot has bad reasons.
Get a fat PSP if you want a sturdy, feel good in your hands, PSP. Get a slim one if you want a more sleek looking, thin, and small, PSP. Anything you can do on a fat PSP, you can do on a slim PSP. I have the slim PSP, that runs custom firmware and I love it. It feels like it'll break if you drop it. I dropped it about 3-5 times since I had it, and it never actually had real damage. I've held a fat PSP in my hands more than a few times. I'd have to say that it feels more sturdy, and better built for your hands. Doesn't feel like it would break on a few accidental drops. Though the buttons, directional pad, and analog stick feel to stiff at times. And yes, get a screen protector. Your screen will get marks, scratches, scars, and alot of other things just from a few placements in your pocket, or something. Its to late for me to get a protector, mine is filled with battle scars.
