Its an old classic but under action the 3 db series can go Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT. Another one that can go under Kid Animes could be Avatar: The Last Airbender. Umm other than that I don't think there are any I have to contribute.
What seperates anime from cartoons? I always thought of Pokemon/Digimon as just cartoons. Is there something I can look for that seperates them? Hmm that is repetitive. Oh well =P I just must say Don't forget the classics guys! Something I can suggest for this thread is that you do a "If you like this anime then you will like this anime" type of thing. Finding new animes can be troublesome.

lol that makes a ton of sense =P. People have died on the simpsons does that make it an anime though? Its too general I wonder what the dictionary says.
an·i·me Audio Help (ān'ə-mā') Pronunciation Key n. A style of animation developed in Japan, characterized by stylized colorful art and often adult themes. cartoon noun 1. a humorous or satirical drawing published in a newspaper or magazine 2. a film made by photographing a series of cartoon drawings to give the illusion of movement when projected in rapid sequence According to this the only difference is where its made. So anything made in Japan is an anime. But then does that mean there can't be an american made Anime? hmm. |

In Dragon Ball Z if Goku dies there has to be a whole sequence of episodes to get all the Dragon Balls and revive him. I mean yeah you could explain it like that but anime gives more personification to the characters and puts them in a world where it's possible to get hurt in MOST anime's. Or you could look at it like cartoon character's are actors in a movie that don't really have storylines and such but in anime it's like real life but with people with energy blasts and prehistoric beasts running around all taped by zombie Einstein with his esteemed colleagues Frankenstein and Santa Claus. You get what I'm saying?
