I have a science project which require me make a mini sub(10cmx10cmx10cm) that is able to float and sink.
I had thought of pumping hot air to make it float through a lighter, hence, reducing its density. But i dont know if it will work of not.Sinking is easy Suggestion and opinions pls. |

hmm u can use 2 ways to increase/decrease the water density... first is by heating/cooling and the second one is by adding another substance, like salt or sugar
one way which i think is pretty easy to do is first, make the submarine stay in the middle of the water. (fill the sub by only fresh water, and add some salt to the environment to cause the sub doesnt sink and doesnt float). then to make it sink, and some water to the environment. to make it float again, add some salt to the environment. so, in this case, u play with the water in ur environment, not the water inside ur submarine... hope it works |
