What the hell is wrong if..

Your computer doesn't turn on completely?

Last night, I thought to myself; "I'll let my computer rest (cause I barely do, and leave it on)." So, I turned it off.

The next morning, I try to turn it on, and nothing happens. The orange light just flickers. I tested a few things. I tried a different outlet, plugged it out, let it sit, and plugged it back in. I opened it up, and the green light that turns on inside, that signifies that everything is in properly, was on. That put me in a wtf state. And, here I am now.

Do any of you guys know whats wrong? Is the computer dead!?

(If your wondering how I am on, I am on my sister's laptop)

Sounds like your power supply fried.

Buy a ne monitor

See now, that was what I was assuming. I wouldn't be surprised because I kept it on 75% of the time I had it.

And how would a new monitor help, Kyo?

sometimes i move my laptop from my desk to my bed and then i forget how hot it is getting till it shuts itself down form overheating .... usually when im in the middle of something, then it wont turn on for a while. cant be good for it.

maybe your computer is just knackered from being on all the time.

I usually keep my computer on, and whe I turn it of,,a nd turn it on, the power button is on, but the monitor is off, so I unplugged,, wait a while, replugged it. Now My Monitor is blinking madly forever until I get a new one

My monitor works fine.

Turn your PC off when you go to bed. It doesn't take much time and it will prevent hardware failures.

In your case, your PSU probably said goodbye. :\
