Default Port Scanner

Anyone know of any user friendly/effective programs to scan and check ports to see whether or not they are open?

No, my router is playing tricks on me again (the bastard) and saying that a port is closed, that I need opened. I just want to use it as a reference, because some of the port scanners I've used to far are out of my league.

And I want a local scanner.

If I remember right, the command:

netsh firewall show state

Should list open ports on the local machine.
