jagex DO have developer vacancies but if you want to apply for one go from the official website: http://jagex.com/corporate/Jobs/vacancies.ws
Never trust anything that asks you to send your personal information without stating your privacy rights (duh) This post is probably some sort of identity scam and if it is legitimate i doubt that Guthrix is employed by Jagex. |

kart rider larger? umm... no
i would'nt be surprised if it had more registered players than MS aswell. It's one of the games that EVERYONE has atleast tried. It's the induction into mmo's for alot of people because it's so easy to find. I don't doubt that it's the 3rd largest at all. |

RS is free, and has had as much popularity as wow. I would not doubt RS has had more accounts over more years of being free than charging. Seeing as its particularly the most common mmo chosen among new gamers in the world.
RS would be fun, but the dedicated predators, young 10 year olds acting tough over the keyboard, harassment, etc, etc. I would not doubt RS has had the same if not more, or just enough to be considered very close to wow, player wise in its history of existence. WOW, RS and any game thats played online do not have 9 million players all together, that 9 million is an estimated number in comprehension to how many accounts there have ever been from the start year of the game to the current year. Over 1/3rd of those accounts have been deactivated, banned, etc, etc.

Those figures are often only used to try promote the game, and since companies wont declare the average number of players they just rely on those figures. Entropia Universe has a player count on the site, 694265 about, but not that many people stay and play on average with EU, so same goes for other games. If I could program I could go work for them. This post/job is probaly legit, could be a bot though advertising jobs for jagex, unless guthrix has made any other real posts. Edit: No. |

this is the one area i liked jagex for, they were honest.
I don't know if they still do this but the used to have the 'currently playing' total on the home page and didn't just release the number of accounts in there database (they will have over 10million because there is over 1million payed accounts that give them money every month) The number of player figure gets screwed up by people having more than one account aswell which happens ALOT in runescape because you're only alowed one charecter per account. |

Wow, I'm surprised no one has called "Wrong Section" yet.
A classified ad goes into the "Game Dev Classifieds" not in the section where people are seeking help with game development issues. ![]() whh, glad that I got that off my shoulder.
