Not to try and steal the light from Kadadriean, but I want a good Naruto roleplay that's fair, and well designed. Since I've written Naruto fanfiction, which caused me to do extensive research on it, I figured I'd start a thread.

It is a time of relative peace for the Village Hidden in the Leaves. With the assault by Orochimaru, the Village is left in a weakened state, and with the treachery of Sasuke Uchiha, and the departure of Naruto Uzumaki, the Hidden Leaf Village is weak.

The time is ripe for a new band of heroes and villains to emerge. All that remains to be seen is which side shall emerge victorious.

Name: (Simple enough. While I would like to stick to Oriental-style names, any sort of name will work.)
Clan: (Not required. It's usually on the BIG families that form well-known clans.)
Age: (This will range from 13 to 18, unless you have a special circumstance, then we'll talk.)
Height: (No explanation needed.)
Weight: (No explanation needed.)
Rank: (Everyone who starts off will be a Genin. If you feel you have good cause to be a Chunin or a Jonin, give me a message and we'll talk.)

Jutsu: (Ok, this is the tough part. I will NOT take applications with characters who know all the powerful ninjutsu. More over, most ninja are skilled with one or two ninjutsu, with taijutsu and genjutsu skills mixed in. We are not all-powerful. Just humans.)
Kekkei Genkai: (This is your clan's "special" ability. Again, not required, and certainly not expected of everyone. They aren't terribly common. Most other ninja specialize in jutsu to compensate for this.

Personality: (We are not cardboard cut outs. I want personality. It makes it fun and interesting to interact with other characters.)

History: (Include all the stuff you want known. Clan history can be included in here as well. Where were you born? If you were born outside the Hidden Leaf Village, how did you end up there?)

Equipment: (This might take a little research on your part. Most ninja come with shuriken, kunai, and maybe some smoke bombs. Otherwise, what you carry on missions is pretty much up to you.)

Now to cover a few rules.

1. No applications with ninjas related to the main characters will be taken. No extra Uchihas, or Hyuugas, or Naras. If your character resembles them a little, that's fine, but no relation to canon characters.
2. Reiterating, no uber-nin. If your character specializes in fire style ninjutsu, then s/he won't know many other ninjutsu, and might only know a handful of genjutsu.
3. No beast-ninja. Most of the tailed beasts are taken, and I don't need some ninja with a tailed beast roaming around, messing things up.
4. Do research. If you don't know a lot about Naruto, but you're interested, search the net. Wikipedia and Google are great ways to learn about Naruto-related articles. A little ignorance is forgivable, blatant stupidity is not.
5. Have fun. That's what we're all here to do. No need to make this a chore.

Taijutsu is essentially nothing more than punches and kicks. It requires strict physical training, and virtually no chakra use, though chakra can be used to enhance it.

Genjutsu play with an opponents mind, making them see, smell, hear, and feel things that aren't there. There are relatively few ways to counter a genjutsu, and few ninja can recognize a genjutsu. Powerful genjutsu are some of the most difficult jutsu to master.

Ninjutsu are basically the super-human abilities that separate ninja from ordinary people. Using their chakra, ninja can form flames, control shadows, or do any number of remarkable things. Do the sheer number of ninjutsu, most ninja learn and specialize in a handful. Ninjutsu require strict mental and chakra training to fully master. Ninjutsu are ranked from E, the easiest, to S, the hardest. Most Genin will know and have mastered the few basic E ranked ninjustu, know a couple of D ranked, or maybe a few C. No Genin will know B, A, or S-ranked jutsu without good reason.

Spenser, I'm only doing this because I'm obliged to. You know that my Naruto knowledge is sup-par, at best. If I screw up, I'm not in any way embarrassed or disappointed by it.

Name: Katai Hitgorashi (the last name is a corruption of a Japanese word. You won't find it in any translators or dictionaries)
Clan: None. This isn't Ryoku.
Age: 14 seems young enough for your ideas. I'd prefer something a bit more mature, but I'll deal with what I'm dealt.
Height: 5'4" (14 years old, right?)
Weight: 96 lbs.
Rank: Genin

Jutsu: Katai knows practically no ninjutsu or genjutsu. Those that he does know are primarily used to stay unnoticed. Instead, he is incredibly well-versed in taijutsu, however, and is very formidible in both armed and unarmed combat, on top of having incredible talent with throwing weapons.

Genjutsu - Twitching Eyes Jutsu: Creates a sudden "flash" that makes the victim's eyes twitch momentarily. Katai usually uses this as an opening to attack.

Sight of the River Jutsu: This justsu makes Katai's body appear blurry and diluted, as if he was being stared at from underwater. This makes Katai's attacks very hard to avoid.

Ninjutsu - Mior Sandstorm Jutsu: Using this ability Katai creates a small, localized sandstorm. Handy for veiling his movements.

Personality: For a kid, Katai is certainly a bloodthirsty little monster. He thinks pragmatically and clearly in every situation, and quickly decides what needs to be done. He weighs lives differently than most people, measuring how much a person deserves to live by what they can do; he has no problem eliminating the "rusted links". What could be seen as homocidal has kept people from associating with him, stunting the development of his social skills. As a result he is what several have dubbed "unneccesarily creepy".

History: Katai was raised as a weapon. He didn't have hobbies like other kids, but instead found his fun in combat. He learned from a very young age how to fight, when to fight, and where to fight. He never got told the "why" portion, and it drove him absolutely batty. Sometime through his 14th year he was sent to the Academy to learn what his (unknown) mentors hadn't taught him yet.

Equipment: Weapons. Katai carries weapons. In addition to the standard shuriken-and-kunai affair that just about all ninjas have, Katai prides himself on keeping a large variety of melee weapons with him. This changes from day-to-day and mission-to-mission, but can include katanas, wakazashis, nanjato, scisors-katars, combat claws, and sometimes even a simple bo staff. Katai carries a lot of weapons.

So over the many centuries the Tohki clan born with the sound ninja capabilites.

Personality:Kazu likes to have fun. Any mission he is given he go for it. He is influenced by the young genin Naruto Uzumaki.That's why Kazu took up the moto "Never give up no matter what."Kazu always tries his best at everything. It very hard to keep Kazu from smiling. When he was 8 he always loved sparring with his fatherand two brothers. Although his father would send excrushiating pain through out his body all he could do was luagh.

History:Kazu didnt grow up easy. He was always pushed to his limits by his father and two brothers. He didnt mind though because he always wnted to be as great as his father. Mastered the bloodline limit Byakugan at the age of seven. Kazu's ations has changed much since he's become genin. He only trains on the weekends with frieands. And he now puts fun into all activites in life.

CLAN'S SPECIAL ABILITY: Revolving Slasher Jutsu (a Jutsu that creates a gust of wind that is hurled at the opponent(s) in a spiralling motion, cutting at them at the same time. For more affect, one can throw Senbon, Kunai, or even shuriken to harm the target(s) more. It is a skill made by the Mekora Clan.)


Personality: She is very free-spirited and seems clumsy at times. One would think of her as clueless, but she is very sly and cunning in battle, analyzing the situation with precaution of her opponent(s). When she was little, people would call her "Spirit of Wind and Theivery," because of her nature. She hardly ever gets mad, but secretly cries to herself when upset.


History: Her mother and father lived in the Land of Wind, about to be blessed with Lun, when they decided to move to The Land of Fire, more specifically, The Village Hidden in the Leaves (Konohagakure).

After Lun grew up, her mother found out that Lun's father was killed by those living in The Village Hidden Among Sand (Sunagakure) because he let his child and wife live them for the "traitors."

Worried, her mother cut her off from the Village Hidden in the Sand and all of its techniques (except for the Kekkei Genkai) accociated with them. It was when she wanted to practice theKekkei Genkai to become stronger did she start to get weak, doctors and healers finding out that her body was extremely weak. Afraid of losing her child, her mother faught against Orochimaru's helpers, defeating some, but dying in the process.

Lun managed to survive the trials the the Leaf Village suffered, and was able to attend school to complete her training as a Genin. So far, she has only learned two basic jutsus and one hard one. She lacks much talent, but she tries her best.


WEAKNESS* (health-wise): Lun's body is extremely frail, and thus would explain her weight problem. She is light and injures easily (anemia), often attacking in the shadows or long range attacks.


OUTFIT*: She wears a swooping necked dark blue shirt that fits around the shape and curves of her stomach, coming down a bit to her waist. Over that is a lavender hoodie and has fishnet sleeves under all this, attaching to the ring finger on her hands and a bit over her shoulders. She wears tan cargo pants and the normal school shoes below her waist. Weapons are stored in the pockets in her pants.


Equipment:
Exploding Pouch (small pouches that, when attached to target, explodes seconds after attaching),
Kunai (throwing knives),
Makibishi (spiked metal thrown for escape),
shuriken (four bladed weapon ).

She likes to use Senbon (small needles that hit points on the body, causing death, deaden limbs, or unconsciousness) as her weapon for strong enemies.

Personality: Isamu is a quiet guy. Reserving judgment for people, Isamu usually keeps to himself. This results in some thinking him "slow", as he tends to analyze situations as best as he can. Determined and stubborn, once Isamu has set his mind on a task, mental or physical, he will continue to work towards that task.

History: Isamu had a normal childhood, for an aspiring ninja anyways. His mother worked at a local inn and his father was a farmer, so when he announced his plans to become a ninja, his parents were proud at the son's ambitions. However, at the start of the Academy Isamu, for some reason, withdrew from people, becoming quiet and shy.

Isamu, when not studying at school or working with his father in the fields, would work on his ninja skills. While he didn't have much time to, Isamu made sure to practice the techniques the teachers assigned.

Because of his careful nature, Isamu began to prepare a Summoning scroll for items and weapons he might need on a mission. His sensei helped teach him how to properly use the scroll as part of his graduation gift

The Village Hidden in the Leaves was not a ninja village with a peaceful past. None were. But the Leaf Village suffered more than the others. The Nine-Tailed Fox's attack, the Uchiha Slaughter, Orochimaru's assault. Though each event, by itself, was not a problem, such devestating events sitting in a ten-year space made the Leaf Village weak.

Many of the Village's most powerful Jonin, prominent Chunin, and promising Genin were dead, or went rogue. Still, to keep it's appearance of power to the other Hidden Villages, the Lead Village never turned down a mission. The result was ending Genin on missions they were once never expected to.

The hardest two blows had come from the death of the third Hokage and the treachery of Sasuke Uchiha. Even with the appoint of Lady Tsunade as the Fifth Hokage, the Hidden Lead Village was weak.

Now, Genin and Chunin alike are forced to take on deadly missions. The time is ripe for a new band of heroes and villains to emerge. The only question that remains is who will win out.

Sunlight shone through the window, causing the ninja to groan, turn over in his bed, and place a pillow over his head. Dimly, he was aware that he needed to get up to meet up with his new sensei and meet the rest of the members of his squad, but he didn't care. Sleep came first.

After another hour, Isamu rolled out of bed, flinging off his blanket and the night sleep. Quickly running through the shower, Isamu got dressed into some black pants, a long-sleeved, dark green shirt with the symbol of the Leaf Village inscribed on the back. He attached his kunai and shuriken pouches, and slid his scroll into his left sleeve, securing it in there with a small clasp.

Satisfied that he was ready, Isamu grabbed his headband and tied it around his head, pushing it up high so it kept his shaggy brown hair out of his dark green eyes. Nodding in passing to his parents, Isamu ran outside, jumped into the nearest tree, and headed off towards forest where he was to meet his new squadmates.

300 slashes...

Katai moved with a kind of cold determination often seen in serial killers and pimps. Nothing fazed him. He was at one with the world, though he had certainly done nothing that could be misconstrued as tree-hugging to get there. The cold air of the morning had dissapated into the warmer rays of sunlight, but still he continued his morning regiment.

100 front-flips...

His muscles were burning by 6:00 AM from his work-out. It would have been worse if he didn't do the same thing every morning. His stamina was incredible for one so young, and he was able to take such ridiculously-rigorous exercises in stride. His feet hit the ground of the last flip just as he began his next stage; he didn't like to waste time.

500 mach punches...

He had landed near a tree and proceeded to pummle the living crap out of its bark. His hands moved so quickly they were more vaguely-flesh-toned blurs than actual appendages. Katai always liked this part the best, scince he could let out whatever frustrations he'd built up out on a single object.

By the time he was done, the tree wasn't really a tree anymore. Attempting to describe it would have been futile. He wrapped his hands in cooling bandages for a few minutes, then got dressed for the day.

Katai's wardrobe consisted of one color: black. He tied his equally-black hair out of his face and strapped a pair of wakazashis to the back of his waist. Belts across his torso held more kunais and shurikens than most would find practical (84 shurikens, 20 kunai. He always counted). Katai stretched his triceps a bit and began the three-minute walk to the Village.

He wasn't exactly anxious to get stuck babysitting, but if it was required to further his training...

"KAZU WAKE UP" Kazu's mom yelled. Kazu rolls out of bed and heads for the bathroom. He jumps in the shower and begins to scrub his body and wash his hair.Walking out of the shower and wrapping his towel around his legs he walks in his room to get dress.

Kazu throws on a black tanktop and slips his two wristbands on wrist and two black ones on the other. He opens his nightstand drawer and pulls a box out. Within the box laid shuriken. He emptieed the box of shuriken. Puting 3 between each wristband. he throws a pair of boxers on and drops the towel.He throws on a flak jacket without the village swirl on it unbuttoned. He puts on some very long black socks that go to his thighs. Then puts his Black shorts on. Slipping his cover up sandals on.

And he heads of. Dashing at high speeds. As he arrives at the forest he spots Isamu standing by the forest. He stops to to tie his headband around his neck in the back so it looks like a bandits bandana hanging. He was about to approach Isamu but he just relized he forgot his bag. So dashes back to his home. And heads back to the forest. When he arrives he just falls back and yawns.

Lunari awoke with a yawn, the sun blazing in her face. Her silver blue ahir fell down a bit around her and even covered her light seagreen eyes a bit. Making her bed, she headed to her bathroom with an early start, an alarm clock by her bedside saying it was six o'clock.

Hopping into her shower, she let the warm liquid trickle down her back and against her hair, closing her eyes a bit. Then she scrubbed herself clean and dried off with a fluffy white towel. Brushing her teeth and washing her face, she hurried into the room to get dress.

"Six-thirty AM," Lunari thought as she gazed at the clock. "I really need to wake up earlier since the Genin can go to school now. Ah, no time to ponder about things, I need to hurry!"

She glanced at the two dressers by the wall next to the open window, brown curtains blowing in the breeze. The fist had a blue mirror, hair supplies, and a picture of her mother, father, and her younger self in it.

Lunari smiled as she opened the first drawer, her pale fingers grisping the white handle, her pinky touching the smooth wood surface. Inside was some fishnet shirts, a couple swooping necked, dark blue shirts, blue, lavender, and green hoodies, and a variety of other shirts. She threw on the fishnet shirt and swooping necked, dark blue shirt, pulling them down slightly.

Next she opened the other drawer and looked at the pants, shorts, and even a few skirts in it. She pulled out some tan cargo pants, knowing that the pockets would come in handy for when she had to train as a Genin.

Then she went to the other dresser, pulling the first drawer towards her. Inside were a bunch of shiny, four sided blades with a circular gap in the middle. Lunari got about twenty shurikens out, assuming that the training on the first day would not be too hard to use too many.

She skipped the second drawer and went on to the thrid, which held sharp knives in them. Lunari took about 35 of these, since they were used a lot as a Genin. She decided to not touch the second and third drawers, which held Exploding Pouches and Makibishi, seeing as she was notin a cunning mood this morning.

Looking into her mirror, she quickly put her hair into two ponytails, two black ribbons now grasping her hair tightly, falling a bit to her face with the rest of her bangs.

Walking into the silent kitchen, she scanned the room and spotted the clock, which ticked away.

Oh no, now its nearly seven o'clock!" Lunari told herself sharply, realizing she took too long daydreaming the morning away. "I think I only have enough time to cook some Instant Rman and eat it on the way to school! That might be hard."

Lunari quickly made her Instant Raman, some wooden chop sticks stuck into the noodles. She rushed outside, slurping on them as the sun made contact with her face. Closing her eys slightly, she leaped into the air, careful not to spill her Raman. Her feet moved as swift as a cheetah as she hopped from tree to tree, some branches wincing, but not breaking under her light being. By the time she reached the academy, her Instant Raman cup was empty, tossing it into a garbage as she entered the classroom. The Sensei spotted her and pointed her to a seat, asking her what her name was.

"My name?" Lunari questioned. "Well, that would be 'The Spirit of Wind and Theivery.' Oh, but you must mean the name my parents called me. If that is what you want, it's Mekora, Lunari. I preferre to be called Lun, instead of Ms. Mekora, unless you want to use my other title. I promise not to blow down the school though if you truly desire to call me Ms. Mekora, since you are my Sensei, heh."

Lun grinned as she took her seat, folding her hands and eying the Sensei, waiting for his response. She could hear people whispering behind her, and a few giggling, but it was okay, seeing as she got to school rather early. She could see that there were a lot of empty seats, and that half of them were filled, if not less.

"Well, atleast I made an impression on these guys," Lun thought warily. "I wonder where the rest of the Genin are? Well, we sort of can't be consider Genin until school officially starts, but...what I am really interested is, who are all of my classmates? If they are all this dull, this may be too boring for me. *Sigh* It is almost like the war and what-not never occured. Like my parents died for no reason. Like I lived here my whole life and I was always waiting for something to occur. Still, it does not have to get so intersting too fast. Besides, I am sure there will be SOME unique people in the sea of common ninjas among me, if they can even be considered that yet."
