I love Lands of Hope, its awesome and much better (IMO) than most if not all other browser games out there. The game is huge and truly a browser MMORPG. The creator did a lot of work in this game.

About Lands of Hope: Lands of Hope is a huge browser rpg that has lots of graphics (the artwork is amazing), but also lots of text. It has tons of features including: lumberjacking, blacksmithing, tailoring, leatherworking, alchemy, beast taming, carpentry and too many others to list.

You can also get a pet of many kinds: dragon, snakemen, other humans and actually every mob in the game can be tamed if you have enough skill.

The game does not have turns or energy, you can continually keep playing.

The community within the game is awesome as well, everyone is very nice. And the owner (Decius) actually comes into chat and talks to people and listens to their ideas.

There is 8 different maps to go to, 9 if you pay the 15 dollars for the Jurassic Expansion. The Jurassic expansion gives you a whole new land to go to and based in the jurassic period so you can find dinosours and stuff. Another expansion is being released in December (also 15 dollars) and it will be based on pirates and the sea. You will even be able to have or build a boat. Also you can have a house or even a castle of your own.

The game does cost 15 dollars to get past level 100 (which takes about a week) but its only a one time fee and it isn't much.

Just today they added a new class that doesn't cost anything to get. It is called the Animator. He gets a very strong Golem pet that can be customized in many ways, but without the Golem though he is very weak.

A very fun class, harder to learn (maybe because its new and different) but I really like it.

That is just some of the features the game has, so if you like what you hear feel free to check it out.

NO Browser Game is worth paying for, except games like Dungeons and Dragons, Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, WoW, and majour games. No one gives a shit about small games with a population of 4 players.

Each their own I guess, I myself found it a worthwhile 15 dollar payment since I only had to pay once (and the optional expansions) and I have a lot of fun playing. Plus 15 dollars is very cheap, I went to the movie theater the other day and around here it is 11 dollars a ticket! That was a major rip off I thought since I could have endless hours of entertainment with browser games or pay to play MMOs and I only get around 2 hours of entertainment at the movies.

And there isn't just "4" people playing, I usually see around 50-70 people playing at once, sometimes up to around 100 at peak time...which is pretty good for a browser game.

Most free to play browser games have nowhere near as many features as Lands of Hope does, even Runescape you had to pay to get a lot of the good stuff and that was a monthly payment.

Although, I'm used to paying for games...I pay to play MMOs and I find paying for browser games isn't too bad either...I even paid for AdventureQuest and had 2 years of fun with that game. What counts is having fun Although, if you don't want to pay thats your decision, but its not a lot of money if you see yourself having a lot of fun with whatever you pay for. Especially, as I said that movie theaters are incredibly expensive for only so little entertainment. Of course, not everyone goes to the movies, but its just an example.

Actually, yes. You can get Hope Credits (HC) and three will let you get past level 100. Probably wouldn't be able to get HC with money since they are very expensive, but if you get referrals you get HC after a month, but you need to be in the top 10 referrals to get any HC, first place gets 3 HC. If you can't pay, this is the best way, although it takes time. Its easy though, not many people take advantage of it. I paid the 15 dollars to get past level 100, but I bought the two expansions with HC from the reward I got from my referrals. You can buy other stuff with HC as well, like rare pets/custom titles/useful items etc.

Just don't spam your referral link, and I myself like giving people an option to click the referral link or go to the main site without the referral.

its a good game but Forlorn hope was way better, and the GMs actually communicate with the players and take suggestions unlike P2P mmos.

I used to play Forlorn, that was great...but, I like both games the same amount, will always miss forlorn though.

And yeah, its nice the creator comes on to talk. Decius actually gets in chat and he even talks on chat with everyone. I think thats pretty cool, don't see too many creators/developers/GMs doing that.

He even sometimes puts ideas someone has for the game and implements it, which I've seen him do often.
