I had an idea to make this RP last night, at 2 in the morning when I couldn't sleep (where the entire plot sort of came in).
Unfortunately, I'll have to revert to plain font to make things easier.
Please, only people semi-experienced in RPs. I'd like to keep this one going for once.

11:15 PM
After a long day of researching, Dr. Shaymus wiped his brow. He and his team were in charge of developmental research in the human dream process. They have been researching what causes the dreams, and if they can be controlled.
Shaymus noticed that Denson was nodding again. "Come on boy, we're almost done. Just 'til 12, then you can go home." Denson snapped awake, glanced at Dr. Shaymus, and nodded.
"Yes sir."
Shaymus stood up, and took his jacket off. He walked over to the recliner, as Denson started up the stimulator.
"You know the procedure, Denson." Shaymus told him for the third time that night. They had been trying to see whether a human's dreams could be manipulated, and had found through this that dreams are actually a semiphysical dimension created by the brain. Shaymus's research had taken a turn, and was looking into what exactly this dimension is.
Shaymus lay on the chair, popped a couple of Advil, and let himself slowly sink into his mind...

11:40 PM

Denson's phone began to vibrate in his pocket, waking him up. Crap, he thought, but a quick 360 told him that Shaymus was still asleep. He quickfooted it to the computer, and collected the necessary data to keep him in his job.
Suddenly, Shaymus's line dipped. He started shaking on the chair, and gurgled violently.
"Professor!?" Denson cried, and ran over. Opening his eyelids, Denson saw that Shaymus was in REM, but something was wrong. His eyes were moving far too fast, and they seemed... bleak...
Then, the line went flat, and all movement stopped.

Backround: A former police officer in the town, but retired after the death of his partner and went to work in the nearby steel mill (or whatever industry is in the town, I can easily change.)

Yeah Xeno, the city's sort of like Nevada-ish, so I have no clue if they have steel mills out there.

Name: Mia Chamber (I dunno, I am not good with last names, so some help would be nice if you have some)

Gender: Female
Build: Her body is rather weak, bu grows stronger over the years.
Background: When Mia was 4, her body fell sick, and she had to be home schooled for 8 years. At the age of 12, she attended an all girls school, mostly described as quiet and reserved, yet extremely talented as a writer. She almost skipped grades if it was not for her persistance to go to school like others.
She now writes a few novels and children books, and is very poetic. She keeps a silvery blue flute with her from her mother, which she likes to play when she is bored, trying to remain calm, or when she is lonely.

((OOC: Oh, what I meant is that when she was younger, her body grew weak and she was very sick-like, like when you have a bad cold and your body feels heavy and you are too weak to move. Well, that is kind of how she was, and she could not go out much, because when people have things as bad as high fevers or what-not, they would grow more sickly by moving around too much
