Problems......

I'm having problems with sound. I have my speakers on but there isn't any sound.

Forgive me as I'm VERY new to this game.

go into options and see if sound is on

also check if your speakers are plugged in

still nothing, could it be my java? is there another java i could use?

Is there sound for other stuff? Is it only runescape you cant hear, or can you not hear anything on the computer?

It's just on Runescape i can't hear

oh... Have you checked the sound setting in runescape? other then that i have no clue what would cause it. Try sending a message to jagex?

Start by clicking on the little wrench icon on the ingame runescape menu bar, is the sound turned on? if not run it on. Is the music turned on? if not run it on. Are sound effects enabled? If they are DISABLE THEM they are VERY annoying.

if all of those things are switched on try downloading the latest version of java from either http://sun.com or http://java.com .

if that is still not working try switching your version of java. You can do this at the bottom of the detail select page.

If it is still not working then you should either send in a support email or consult the runescape knowledge base at http://runescape.com/kbase

can u hear music on like youtube and stuff ? if not it could be you need better sound drivers. easy way to see if it working properly is by right clicking on my pc icon on ur desktop then click mange then click on device manager then click on sound video and game controllers or whatever it says then if there no icons by the sound card u have that means it working correctly also some laptops got a mute key make sure thats not why volume not working

when u load the game on the bottom right there a tool ba icon click it u will see 3 music icons make it so they on max by draging them right
