I'm a person who doesn't really care about definition as much; just enough to understand what I'm watching that's all.

Didn't change sound quality and thats all I use youtube for really (music) so I don't think I'll go through the effort of adding that to each of my videos... but a nice find nontheless

Yes, it works.

I tried it both ways(with or without) and paused it at various time(seconds), without "&fmt=18", it feels alot more pixelated, and the "square grid" looks bigger.

There's a noticeable change in quality, but still..

you can just click the "Watch this movie in higher quality" button underneath many videos

Also it seems the tag "&f4 whatever it is lool" only works with vid's that have the "watch this movie in higher quality".
doesnt load when i put the tag on a vid without that "watch blablah movie"

So basically all it does is link you to the high quality version which can be dun by clicking on "watch this movie in higher quality'
