Well i've seen tons of people debating on whether or not clerics level fast. Some say its slow and some say that they are the fastest in second job. Well I would finally like an answer to this so i'll ask you. And to those that would don't give me a bunch of crap about switching characters because I never said anything about doing so. Although I'm sure saying this won't stop some of the morons out there anyway.

clerics are a party class that rarely die they get into pq like a snap so you must like the pq but i say pq lvl you pretty fast

Wow, if I could get 1mil for ever time someone posted a question regarding this. But as I say over and over again in these threads:

Clerics do NOT level fast compared to other classes.
Priests do NOT level fast compared to other classes.
Bishops level like maniacs compared to other classes.

So ummm how come bishops level like crazy?? Genesis does the same amount of damage as i/l arch mage and f/p arch mage because of elemental amplification. (Those that read this feel free to answer but don't skip your opinion on the other question)

If it weren't for my BL, MS would be nightmareish.

And for Bishops, they're probably just really dedicated. Or use Genesis and have a good map.

I'm always at HHG1, which is a prime place where high level mages hang out to show off. Here is what I see.

Priests: 30-40k damage.
Ice Arch Mage: 20-30k damage.
Fire Arch Mage: 20-30k damage.

Genesis just seems to do more damage in general. I've never played on a Bishop before, so I cannot tell you why they level so fast. However, I've noticed that some of my Bishop friends have leveled extremely fast right after the 4th job. I blame Genesis for that.

Bishops level like mad during 4th job because of the type of maps available to them. Once they reach 4th job, they can now solo (with their new godly skills), party up with another bishop, or party up with others. The new maps in leafre are more geared for bishops than it is for any other kind of mage. I can't even train there right now at lvl 129 without sweating bullets and getting my pots raped. The most ideal place for me (I'm an i/l mage, btw) is currently himes.
Previously, priests would normally party up at grims or gobies and the levelling process was gruelling. Once they hit 4th job, it's a completely different playing field... especially when you start to max out your skills.

As far as amp goes: priests shouldn't be adding any sp into amp. Only i/l and f/p mages do. That's why we do more dmg than healers .

Now regarding dmg differences... I haven't paid too much attention to the differences in damage.
