I really dont see why you bumped an old topic. Yes infantry was infact free when people could pay for extra features. But there was really no point in playing for free since you start out fresh every time you play (You played as a Guest) and whatever items and weapons you get gets erased after 60 minutes.

I still play SoE infantry once in awhile, only when twin peaks is up
