I have Comcast and it will let me hook up my internet using a wired connection on this laptop but not the other. Why is that so? D:

It could simply be that you have the software from your ISP installed on your laptop and not your other computer.
That or , if your on a wireless , a wireless adapter isn't connected/installed.

Or turned on.....my wife's notebook has a switch for allowing wireless connection on the front edge. She was blaming me for blocking her from our network after a minor spat. Apparently she somehow while she was at school.
