Wow--stop making stuff up. First you said they require $10 for cash shop, and now you are saying it is because they have money and credit cards.

Let me tell you: first of all, not every goon has a credit card, because many are much younger than 18 years old. Second, the reason SomethingAwful requires $10 is to eliminate spammers and create a penalty system--that way you will actually pay attention to all the rules. Third, because they have a strict forum, they are able to have their own private forum where they share all their guides and strategies. Having money has nothing to do with being a goon; being a SomethingAwful member--one who is capable of following the rules and not being a retard (you are required to form coherent thoughts and not talk like "lawl n00b i m l337 u dy b4")--is.

I think a good ol moderator who does his job effectively can do that for free.

It's just my personal opinion. That and I just don't see the logic in paying 10 bucks just so you could avoid noobs and trolls. I don't think that's worth ten bucks, it's the internet, you just need to deal with it. And again, this is just me personally....but I'm really having a hard time picturing the Goonz being scared of trolls and noobs.
