Game Name: Macro Metropolis

Game Description: MacroMetro is a new online business simulator from the studios of Elliott James Software, a new, up-and-coming, online software developer.

The game will simulate the peaks and troughs of the business world, pitting your wits against the world as players fight for the best land, compete for the best customers and, most importantly, make the most money in the process.

The game will cover a multitude of industries, including mining, construction, research, manufacturing, retail and the service industry. All your customers will be other players. Your main suppliers will be other players.

Develop the skills of your avatar to give your company the competative edge. Research new technologies to streamline your operations and boost your profit margins.

This will be one not to miss. At least I think so... but then I am the chief designer!

Just a quick update to this post to include planned features:

• Isometric graphical map system
• Complex technology and skill system
• Free to play with purchaseable premium content
  (e.g. additional building styles/products)
• Fully browser based - No download required
• Trade in multiple towns/cities and import/export to the world
• Buy materials, manufacture items, sell to other players
• Devlop better items through research and development
• Hire other players as staff or work as a 'cooperation'

This is just to whet people's appetite while we implement all the current features.

Forum and Blog pages will be active soon to allow feedback from eager eyes.

Progress is fast on the development of MacroMetro. A DevBlog has been set up for progress updates and a forum is now up for future users to post comments and BETA testers (positions available) to post bug reports.

The user interface has developed to teh point that the first (draft) screenshots have been posted at www.macormetro.com.

There are tentative plans to launch a design competition to allow users to put forward ideas for building designs and skill and technology trees, which would be used to develop the final product.

All visitors are welcome and comments are much appreciated.
