Most of you dont know that I have been trying for a long time to get a section on this forum that was dedicated purely for computer hardware, news, upgrades, building, news, etc. Anything PC related.

You got sections for Anime, Graphics, Development and Programming.

I would like to see a subforum added somewhere on this forum that is for computer related information so that its not all in General. Most people that post problems in General often get ridiculous replies from people and the problem is never solved.

I have asked about this before in the suggestions thread and have periodically brought it back up to see if anything has changed.

So this time instead of pestering Lothia about it, I am kind of going in a circle and doing this thread.

I have been told by other Mods that it has been talked about and suggested but it just was never added to the forums.

A person had suggested to have a Mabinogi forum added and within a matter of four days, it was created.

I've asked about this for as long as four months, and suggestions have gone back further then that for a hardware forum.

There are very similar reasons to have the Mabinogi forum added as there are to have a hardware section added. I just didnt go about it the way Sax6d did.

Also, I checked over the posts in the last week for hardware related topics, just the ones that were obvious through titles.

So in ending this thread, what is the deal with adding a hardware section to an online mmorpg forum? It only seems a little logical to have a section dedicated to computer related issues.

We considered a technology forum, but I don't think it would be necessary. We don't get that many tech threads and it would be silly to have a forum especially for it. When we are bombarded with computer related threads then maybe.

The anime and graphics forum were created to combat that problem, and they work fine.

Anyway, moved to Suggestions and Feedback.

So in order to get a relevant forum added to this board it has to be spammed?

Its a forum for pc hardware, building pcs, pc problems, peripherals, monitors, gaming rid suggestions/recommendations, news on new gfx cards, chips, etc. A hardware section. This board is an MMORPG forum, having a forum to talk about your system and the game requirements and getting a system that could run those games only seems logical.

General has loads and loads of hardware related threads. If you look at my previous request that I linked in my original post, you would see the many threads that I have referenced. There were still many threads that I did not reference.

I could go back through the past month and get a lot of threads that were created that were hardware specific. Most of those threads had problems that were never answered because they got buried by posts through general, or they were given ridiculous answers.

I think that being able to advise people on computer hardware related topics, and there are plenty of people around here that know quite a bit about computers, would not only benefit the community here at OnRPG but other members as well including any future members that would join this community.

As for moving this back to Suggestions & Feedback I think was unnecessary. If my requests for answers in my original thread were answered I would have never made this topic in General in the first place, I would have kept it in my original thread. I wasn't suggesting to get a forum in this particular thread because I had already had a thread created in Suggestions, I was trying to get information on what was going on.

I have been told by other Mods that this is something that has been talked about, but it seems all the progress and talking was stopped. I wanted to know what happened. I sent Lothia various PMs regarding the issue, and for his inbox's sake I didnt want to continuously ask him about it.

I also wanted to shed light to the rest of the community that DOESNT frequent the Suggestions forums as to the request that I and others have made and agreed would be a good idea, of getting a hardware forum.

Why should there have to be a problem arise before you can stick a fix to it? Thats like saying, "Lets wait for the house to be fully engulfed in flames before we call the fire department."

I think the only way were going to see a section like this get setup is if this thread (What would you like at OnRPG! Please vote =)) were to get more votes in the hardware section.

Seems more people are leaning towards an RPG game or something so this forum clones many other forums that are already created.
