Default Questions regarding Guild Wars

Well guys I finally found my Guild Wars factions, so I decided to get back into the game. I played for about 3 months...I don't remember why I stopped. Anyways, I know that guild wars had 2 more expansions since I've played. So my question is:

Since I have factions I am still able to play with other players that have the other expansions; or am I limited to playing with players that only have factions?

Also if you guys could refresh my memory on where most of the players are. Cause I log on today and I didn't see many people. Well given I log on at 10 am...maybe everyone is just sleeping.

Yes you can play with others that have different expansions to yours.
And most of the people hang around LA or the Arena's.

You can play PvE with anyone who has the factions campaign.
You can play PvP with anyone.

I quit quite a while back, but I'd assume the most populated PvE campaign would be Eyes of the North, then Nightfall, then Prophecies, then Factions. In Factions I'd guess Kaineng center to be the busiest area.

You likely stopped playing because the PvE feels like a chore and the game isn't updated often enough to make PvP less of a stale joke.

You can PvP in Alliance Battles only with others who have factions btw.

Anyway, moving this to Guild Wars section.

Most people have finish factions ages ago, multiple times. You're not likely to find people still playing it.

Just stick with the pvp.

With the recent introduction of new end-game greens for Paragons and Dervishes in the Divine Path, there will be fresh interest in finishing Factions to get the Amulet of Mists.

Hopefully you'll get into a group easier now, but yes, late-game Factions (and maybe Prophecies too) seems to be mostly deserted.

I've made it my project this month though -- getting my all my characters through Factions

Alliance Battles are still populated; you can switch between European and American districts to get the most populated area, depending on the time of the day.

ya u can play with people from all of the games if you have that campaign. also i think that the most populated game (my opinion) is either prophecies or nightfall. Factions is only good for pvp as the campaign is rather short and easy. Nightfall and Prophecies on the other hand have longer campaigns and ar a bit harder, especially the nightfall one. and ya at 1 am in the morning it would be hard to find people to play with, but you can just farm or do missions with ur heroes if u have nightfall.
