Hi,
I'm searching for a language thats relatively easy to use, it should have OOP(as in Classes, types, structs, etc), Functions/Procedures and it should be easy to make/use Windows and 2D/3D Graphics. It should have a (Visual?) Basic or C/C++ Style Syntax. Thanks ^.^ Currently I use PureBasic but i search something better No: PureBasic BlitzMax BlitzBasic Blitz3D Btw: Is DarkBasic any good? uh, well all my attempts to learn C++ have failed because the turoials I found were either like "run through", explaining nothing about what it does and why this and that happens, didn't work or explained too much (I don't wanna read a book for 2 years before I can get started to do something)
Also I don't find it "easy" to make Windows/2D/3D Graphics with C++. Generally because there are no good Wrapper Class Tutorials out there... I only found a few that didn't work and explain like nothing Last edited by Irlethu; 04-12-2008 at 08:59 AM. |

RGSS(Ruby) IS THE MOST SIMPLE CODE SYSTEM EVER.
I started to learn Ruby by just modifying codes on RMXP and now I can correct compatibility errors between scripts with ease after like two months spent on it, only getting on 30 mins a day. Not even to try to learn Ruby. However, Ruby is a n00b language, and not very well known. C++ is where the MMO money is at. A book for complete begginners for C++ After you can make Chess, you should start some small projects and then make your way to the top. Visual basic is also a nice thing to have. |

yeah Ruby isn't used much. Well I would suggest Java for starters, it's easier to read and more forgiving then C++. And really there isn't much you should need to know what it does for the basics or even the intermediate stuff. The biggest problems people have is either not being good in math which in that case you should stop programming and learn your basic algebra again, and secondly the beginning stages of OOP were you make your own classes. I guess I am confused on what was so hard to learn online from C++ that you needed to know why it did that and how, most seems pretty self explanatory. Well that's my input for now.
