"Sandra, it's time to wake up..."

Sandra quickly sat up and slowly opened her eyes, blinking for a few times before staring blankly into space. It took about five seconds before she finally moved again and looked at Velios.

"Good morning..." Sandra greeted Velios with a slight smile.

Sandra crawled out of her bed and wore her robe and pointy hat with the help of Velios since she was still half asleep. Surprisingly, Sandra fell asleep again so Velios had to carry her down and out of the inn where Kytse and the other guy was waiting. Sandra woke up once again seeing that they're already out of the inn.

"Mmm... Good morning..." Sandra said, wiping her eyes with her hands.

Kytse smiled warmly at both of them. "Morning, everyone got some good sleep? were to set off to the temple of Sythc, God of Darkness today - remember, dont treat the people there with dis-respect, light must be countered by darkness and so on so forth, and to get the gods hand we have to consult every type of god, wether good or evil", Kytse coughed a bit, "Theyre not nessicarily evil either, i have a freind there, nothing evil about him."

"Morning, everyone got some good sleep? were to set off to the temple of Sythc, God of Darkness today-"

"Temple of Sythc... Temple of Sythc... Temple of Sythc..."

Sandra's sleepy face slowly disappeared, her eyes widening as the words Kytse uttered echoed in her head.

"T-T-The temple of darkness?" Sandra nervously said. She had some bad memories about that place, mostly of this perverted old man. Every six months, Sandra travels to the temple of darkness to pray to the God of Darkness to increase the power of her dark magic. It was a basic ritual for anyone who uses dark magic.

Sandra jumped off into the ground from Velios' arms before continue talking. At this time, she's fully awake.

"Can't we go to the other temples first? I think it would be-" Sandra was interrupted by a grumble from her stomach. She looked down and touched her stomach before looking back up to Kytse, blushing.

Vyak’s eyes found their way open as he heard the door of the Inn close. Vyak was leaning against the outside wall of the inn and watched as Kytse exited the building. Vyak folded his arms and closed his eyes again, waiting for his companions. Finally when they did emerge he nodded in greeting them.

Kytse simple let out a relaced grin, "The temple of darkness is the nearest one, only a days walk from here, the next temple would be about 3 days walk." Kytse looked at Sandra, who obviously didnt like the idea, "Dont worry, they know im the son of the last person who defeated the beast, so they'll treat me, and any freinds kindly, anyway, if everyones ready we should set off."

Without saying anything Vyak straightened his leaning posture as he came off the wall he was leaning on. Vyak lowered his left hand to rest on his sword at his hip, showing he was ready.

Not letting emotion reach his face Vyak stared at the rising sun as he waited for his companions. Vyak did not give any hint that the luscious colors moved him in any way. Only a moment later he turned his head to the group waiting for their responses.

Kytse grinned, it seemed full of happyness but... something was wrong, it felt a bit... shallow. His sword strapped to his back he started walking down the winding path, they would most likeley have to cross the Eldvah planes, green grassland with rolling hills of gold, then make their way through the black-wood, this was what un-settled him, they should rest on the border and wait until morning, blackwood was treacherous at night.

With that the group gathered some things and set off down the winding path, Kytse was carrying a rather large backpack, with his sword, food and bedrolls, he seemed to be having some difficulty but his training had made him naturally strong, he rememberd his teacher ordering him to lug anong huge rocks, doing laps around the feild on the small farm they lived in.

Kytse hated his teacher but - without him, he wouldnt become what he was today. Maybe hating him was just a way to keep him close to his...

Nah.

A roar sounded through-out, a large bear came from the growth and stood there, suddenly it stood up on its high legs and spoke, its voice deep and rugged.

"The gods have sent me to... challange you, the old gods, those who do not supply the gods hand and reside in no temples - do not smile on such pointless actions."

Kytse simply grinned, "I like it better that way."

The bear glanced and continued, "Sho will be re-born, and its not-"

Kytse inturrupted him, "Dont say its not worth it, the calm lasts a few years at least, during that time we can build and re-grow, and recover from the last period that Sho roamed, to even... to live in a peacefull world where there is no sho, even for a few years... Gives us hope."

The bear grinned and four others lumbered from the forest, they charged at the group, kytse brung out his sword and dropped his backpack, he lunged at the original bear, the sword did not peice and made a scratch in the bears tough armor, a deadly claw came upon Kytse, who was just able to raise a small arcane ward to deflect it. Kytse snapped his fingers and a small fire explosion his the bears face, burning the skin, these bears werent ordinary, they were infused by magic, that explosion would have blown and ordinary bears face off, for Kytse had planted it within the skull but through divine intervention it had merley distracted and sazed the bear, Kytse lashed out, createing a small tear in the sking, and some blood sprayed from it, Kytse side-stepped from another vicous swipe and brung his sword down on the beasts kneck, the beast sheinded it with a paw and caught Kytse bareley on the cheek, makeing some minor scratches, kytse quickly healed it and then blasted the bear with wind, knocking it over, kytse leaped into the air and brung his sword down on the bear, it peiced through its belley, the beat gasped, inetveably dying slowly, kytse let out a long sigh.

"You dont deserve to die slowly, even if you serve the old gods." Kytse whispered and the bear goraned with pain, kytse snapped his fingers and the bears mind suddenly vanished, engulfed in fire, therefor instantly killing the bear, is husk dropped to the floor.

Kytse turned to his freinds who were combating the bears, it was obivous he should not intervene, this was important to beat both the old gods challange and get the new gods approval, each had to fight their respective bear, with no help. Divine wards were wrapped around the others anyway, preventing anyone from going out, or in.

((I was just reading Demonic Retribution((Re-Started)) and Kain222 didn’t make Deviant Inn Artisto_Sonata did. Hahaha just pointing that out. ))

Vyak stopped suddenly when he heard a loud growl. Looking around Vyak noticed his companions were also being tested. Keeping a cool head Vyak waited for one of the four to charge at him. His wish was granted.

The bear jumped at Vyak using its weight to crush him. Vyak saw the bears lung, while he was not strong enough to deflect the bear his magic was. After drawing his sword Vyak twirled it in a majestic way. The sword turned from silvery steal to white steal which he then plummeted into the earth! The bear then collided with something before Vyak was crushed under the bear. When the bear collided with the shield it became visible for a second then vanished.

As the bear was repelled it fell backwards to the ground. Now acting, Vyak retrieved his sword from the ground and sheathed it. Vyak closed in on the stunned bear though it was only a matter of moments before it was ready to fight once more. Opening up his hand then tensing it Vyak began saying words to a spell. As soon as the first word left his lips a purple orb formed in his right palm. With each word the spell became ever more powerful as a black cloud formed around the orb followed by little purple sparks. By this time though the bear had recovered just in time and was aware of Vyak’s dark spell.

Instead of fearing the magic the bear welcomed it with its armored paw. Vyak’s purple orb of darkness fussed with the bear’s claw both struggling for control. The force ripped through Vyak’s cloak almost blowing it off his back. His hair flapped around his head uncontrolled. Vyak pushed himself away as the spell began to die. He was shocked the bear was still standing. From what Vyak could tell from his position the armor had a few scorch marks.

“This just got interesting,” Vyak said calmly.

The bear roared again and charged Vyak on all fours. Using more magic Vyak gripped his sword and brought his left hand up to his mouth, only two fingers where erect his pointer finger and middle finger. Both of the fingers touching each other Vyak chanted more words this time nothing happened till he was finished. The bear was almost in striking distance now. The tips of his fingers glowed red now which he used to wipe his sheath with. Transferring the red glow to the sheath, which faded after a few seconds. Vyak moved his footing into a defensive position as he waited for the bear, his right hand still on the hilt.

The bear swung its large scorched paw at Vyak’s head. Vyak then drew his sword in an attack move. No other slashes or strikes just the one from unsheathing his sword, which was red. The strike caused the bears head to look up, exposing skin (was sure where the armor covered if you just wanted it to be on their belly just tell me and I’ll edit it.). This was Vyak’s chance to end it. With his custom made sword, now back to its normal silver color, he thrust it into the bear’s soft neck skin. Blood soaked the bears white coat as the sword greedily took more (bad analogy I know ). Vyak crouched down as the bear showed no more signs of fighting and put his arms around the bears head (kind of like a hug). Removing the sword caused the bear to collapse as it began to feel the effects of the loss of blood. Vyak wiped the blood off his sword as he watches the eyes fade into darkness then nothingness.

Vyak turned all his attention back to cleaning his sword with the bear’s fur. After competing that he returned his sword to its sheath and was about to examine the bear’s armor but then stopped. First he bent down and closed the bears eyes then looked to see how his companions faired.

“Good, Kyste looks uninjured,” said Vyak

Sandra hastily started chanting right after some magical wards began popping out from the ground, trapping Sandra and her friends on separate positions. But before Sandra could finish chanting, a bear suddenly appeared and pounced on her. Luckily, Sandra reacted fast enough to dodge the attack and prepared herself for a fight.

Sandra shifted her eyes, looking around without moving from her position as the bear moves around her. She has limited movement because of the wards so she has to finish this fight fast before she gets herself to a bad position.

The bear started charging at Sandra whilst she replied with a few earth stumps that knocked the bear into the air. Sandra continued with a giant skeleton arm that came from the ground and grabbed the bear while it's still in mid-air, slowly crushing it until the bear's armors shattered. At this time, Sandra was chanting, a violet circular spell insignia appeared beneath her and her shadow looked like it was moving on its own.

Vector Arrows

Sandra's shadow completely deformed and turned into multiple arrows that striked and pierced the struggling bear's body. The bear let out a growl of pain before getting completely crushed by the giant skeleton arm. Sandra turned around to her friends to show that she's fine.

"I did it-" Sandra suddenly stopped when she felt a warm liquid drop on her face. She turned back to see what it is but find herself frozen in fear when she saw what it is.

Blood from the bear rained all over Sandra and the closed space where she was held by the magical wards. Sandra only stared at the closed hand of the giant skeleton arm as blood continued raining on her face. She could hear voices of people begging for their lives all over her head. Then her surroundings changed, she saw lifeless bodies of people covered in blood all around her. Sandra started screaming, she was trapped in the memories of her past.

Sandra fell to the ground, she was all curled up, eyes widened, and is still screaming.

The wards around Sandra started to fade, Kytse sprinted towards her, curseing under his breath, he had seen her collapse to the floor after screaming and there was blood on her, the bear was dead but the situation made him fear the worst, he quickly kneeled down beside her.

"Sandra!!!" he screamed and shaked her, he quickly examined her body and let out a long sigh of relif, she was un-harmed, something had caused her to fall into un-counsuiousness and the blood from the bear and reflected from the barriers and dropped onto her, most likeley bringing up bad memorys.
