the question that I have is as follows:

If I don't buy stuff from the shops, will I still be about "equal" to players that do buy stuff from the shops?

meaning, is the game still even wether or not you spend money. I do understand if there are some benefits, aslong as they are not crucial

Using the cash shop is not crucial, and is not needed at all.

However, cash shop players get a HUGE ADVANTAGE.

yeah cash shop isnt crucial but gives u an advantage..

all tho i do belive he is asking if the "private shops" which are usually set up in town centers have crucial items. rather than the normal npc armour..
well yes it makes a massive difference just for example the full cruiser set poons the the normal lvl 45 armour..

so it can b for some classes

Well, Flyff is a game where cash items ARE pretty relevant...

It's really hard to get to higher levels without cash item..

But it's possible to buy these items with in game money, although it will cost you lots of hard work and time if you want to compete with any other cash shop player...

And in GWs and Guild Battles these items make difference...

uhmm ur all wrong.
cash shop berley makes a difference unless u suck @ makin money.
the point of cashshop is to look cool or to sell and make money.
overall i say go for it the games great but the grinding after 61 is a pain.

If you're talking about buying from user shops, you might want to.
Although, the prices vary throughout the different servers.
There are different item sets that give you bonuses.
After the first piece is equipped, the following pieces will give you bonuses.
The more pieces of the set you equip, the more bonuses you get.
Before V.10, I believe, FlyFFers called these sets "greens" because they had green names.

However, I do believe that they removed the green name if the set is under lvl 60.
You're going to want to remember which set/weapon gives bonuses, according to your lvl and job.

I could list them all here, but, frankly, I don't want to. :P


If you were talking about Cash Shop, then, no.
Most Cash Shop items are all for show.
HOWEVER
There are items that may be necessary to level up after you've reached a considerate level.
However, it's not impossible to level without CS items.
