I have said it many many times now and will say it again, this is a forum feature that is pretty much useless here and might as well be turned off.

Wasn't there a sticky a while back that said you had plans for it? I was interested to see what might happen, but nothing happened.

Reputation has a lot of potential here, and it could effectively make the moderators jobs a lot easier by ridding out people very quickly if they are bots or break the rules.

So, are there any plans for this yet, or should we just ignore this feature?

The reputation system is still being worked on. At the moment it's not a priority, but some of the staff are still looking for a better way to implement it, and have a few ideas, I believe. Just be patient, it'll happen eventually.

The best idea would to give me the ability to give rep.

Or use a karma system when if you get rep you can give other people rep, and if you lose rep then it's permanently subtracted from the amount of rep floating around so it'd be evened out.

The reputation system we want to begin to implement is almost done and ready for launch. Expect it within the next few days.
