well, it's VPN on now (I'm back at college), but I think it was just something special about my IP address at home (it's outside of metro Atlanta in GA).
I still play though, and yes it does get better with the harder hunts. Also, there's two parts. The first 30 levels are what I would consider now the 'training phase' where you fight, learn, and max out equipment. Then comes the real gameplay starting at rank 31 (you need to do a quest to unlock this) where everything becomes tougher, but you unlock unique equipment only available there.
Oh, and I wanna explain something about using status effect bolts, every time a monster is afflicted with one particular status effect (ie poison), it becomes tougher to do it again, all the way up to a flat point. So I'd recommend saving the serious status effects for when it's in what I call 'fury mode' (it's foaming, flaming, etc at the mouth).
