Team name:
Negotiable, Wanting to hear a teams opinion before deciding. Project name: Negotiable. Wanting to hear a teams opinion before deciding. Brief description: This project has been in production for around one or two weeks. I have completed the physics and gamestates. On the to-do list is implementing networking and loading spritesheets(haven't done this yet as I need to know how the artists are going to be making them (pixel spaces and etc.)). Target aim: Free but possibly pay-to-use weapons such as NCSoft games or similar. Compensation: A % of the above revenues Technology: The target platform is Win32, but I may try to port it to Linux at a later date. Using the Irrlicht engine's 2d capablities mixed with Magic2D for rendering and Box2D for physics. The programming language being used is C++ and I may implement a scripting language if it becomes necessary. Talent needed: 2d Graphics Artists - For the development of spritesheets, backgrounds, and other nifty things. Team structure: Me - Lead Programmer/Project Manager Website: I'll get some forums/wiki up soon. For now there's no real screenshots as I don't have any artists, so I'll work on that at a later date. Some tips :
Don't start throwing around project topics one or two weeks in. at that point you barely have a concrete base, let alone something other people can work on (especially the non-l33ts.) Secondly; starting to talk about payment and generally money-related stuff at that point of development is sheer lunacy unless you want to alienate potential users - When the project takes shape and becomes more than potential, but promising, THAT is when you think about such things. You say them even later. |

Well there's not really much of a story to it.. I appreciate the offer for help though. I'll definitely drop you a PM if I need some writing done. Still looking for artists and I haven't had a single offer
