Definitely FFT. FFT is one of the best games in its time and still continues to be one of the best even now. I wasted atleast 50-60 hours on it.
Although Crisis Core is a good game its more like a spin-off. Wouldn't recommend it if you haven't played FF7.

Definitely FFT if you have never played it before on PS or emulator. period.
But if you did play it before, to tell you the truth the little elements they added in the psp version isn't that exciting.... you will just get bored out because you have been through the same thing already on your PS. Crisis Core is for the story line really, and good graphics/animations. You would like it if you are more of a movie person than a game person. The game play gets boring because you are just doing side quests for pointless reasons and there just aren' that many things to collect in that game versus in FFT you are always trying to train up your dream team. Also Crisis Core you ride solo all the way in the game [me no like being alone ;( ] and the battles get repetitive, too. |

Both storylines for the game is some what impressive, more twists and turns for FFT imo.
CC is definitely shorter if you compare it (not doing side quests of course). I've yet to complete FFT, but I'm building my characters to the sort of 'build' I want them, lots of creativity in how your characters change. Completed CC and laughed at the ending since MANY thought the FFVII trailer preview to promote the PS3 was gonna become a re-make or MIGHT be a re-make. That was funny. Edit: That isn't really a spoiler, since the video of that PS3 promo video is all over the world even BEFORE Crisis Core was released.

Tactics = Pure sexiness.
So, I suppose adding a bunch of new modes and classes makes it even more awesome. It's worth a go, especially for the nice story and fun battles.
