warning: rambling ahead, **** structure, viva mexico

Street Fighter wears heavy armor so it's the most durable of the fighters.
-On maps: can provide amazing support with Net, which will grab enemies in the skill's range and pull them all onto one cell so they can get beasted on by your party. They have provoke which is an AoE target that lowers enemies accuracy at a high ratio so your party can have safety in mobs. Crazy Vulcan is really good as an AoE attack.
-In PvP: Block Buster does relatively high damage and stuns at a HIGH chance, which can shut down super armor and lead to Crazy Vulcan. Crazy Vulcan's damage is high, doing upwards of 10k damage. Net doesn't succeed very often anymore after balance patches, but when it does it leads to a devestating combo and near-certain victory.

Nen Masters wear cloth armor for int and mp regen, so they're fragile. Can attack from a distance with the easily-spammable Sense Bullet.
-On maps: AMAZING support for the party and for yourself, Breath gives a percentage increase to aspd for ridiculously fast attacking. Kai endows everyone's weapons with light element and adds a percentage increase to attack. Nen Guard provides a temporary dome area to shelter from attacks for a short while.
-In PvP: Chasers (i forgot their name, lv30 skill) provide both excellent cover and additional damage to combos, they will continue to hit enemies even while you're in hitstun and/or on the floor. Clones are great to either block off an area to make an escape, or to lock someone inside for an attack opening; enemies touching any clones will cause them to flinch. Breath's aspd increase will help immensely in starting your combos and getting in on your opponent.

Strikers are the only class that can wear boxing gloves, the fastest weapon type available to fighters. They can hit the hardest and the fastest of the fighter classes.
-On maps: The 'target weak point' skill targets an area of enemies and raises everyones critical percentage and accuracy at a very high percentage on the targetted enemies. A fairly basic attack type character, needs to be in very close range to be at maximum effectiveness, which can be troublesome. I don't have much insight in regards to strikers, check out a post ClickClackThumbtack made earlier about them.
-In PvP: Hyper Armor is one of the most useful skills a fighter could have, provides a duration of constant super armor; an essential skill for PvP-based strikers. Strikers get Muse Upper lv10 (as a prereq to One Inch Punch), so that opens up potential for high damage juggles. Low Kick/Bone Crusher are excellent OTG (on the ground) damage.

Grapplers have the highest hit recovery in the game and second highest defense of the fighter classes.
-On maps: Definitely more suited to solo play than party play due to their constant unpredictable pushing and relocating of monsters. Lots and lots of invincibilty frames to get out of trouble. Very heavy on MP usage, but invincibility frames and high defense makes them very prosperous. Powerful Takedown at high levels can make them very adept at small-scale but strong AoE. Excellent at boss fights.
-In PvP: Very high damage on throws. One of the trickier fighter classes to play as it requires a firm understanding of the technicalities of PvP and skill linking to be truly effective. Definite Grab will grant super armor during your grab animation and will help in countering and catching opponents. Sliding Grab makes you slide a short distance in the grab pose when you activate a throw; this stacks with definite grab to add more super armor time.

i'm sure i missed lots of important stuff but that should give a general idea of some skills and uses floating around for the classes
