Go to geffen, at the Magic Academy/The merchant in the 7 o'clock area...
Go to the second room..

Basic ones only...
Try buying I think an Arc Wand (15% MATK + 1 INT or 2), and Circlet (I think it adds SP) It will help a lot! HEAL! HEAL! HEAL!.

go to Prontera Church, buy i think go for Scapulare or is Saint Robe is enough for your level..

Get a slotted Guard/Buckler then grab some Pupa Card it will help in your early levels...

Shoes and add a sohee card, then switch to Verit if you want more HP only but it still has SP in a few percentage...

Allright acolyte is the fastest class to level up in all of ragnarok online since they added anubis in sphinx.


You're going to want anything and everything to reduce damage from them , Also it has been proven that MATK doesn't effect heal amount so you might want to concider getting some sort of [4] mace with fabre or drops cards. But if you're poor anything that will add INT ( arc wand ).

HEAL'S DESCRIPTION

[ Effect: Heals a target's HP for [(BLV + INT) / 8] * (4 + 8 * SkillLV). When used against Undead property monsters, it is a holy attack that ignores MDEF and INT, but deals only half damage (that is, HealValue*ElementModifier/2). To use against a monster, you must shift-click it or turn on /noshift. ]


Now as for reducing damage anubis is a demi-human , undead , large monster so you're going to want a 10% reduction hat ( munak hat , poo poo hat , beret , feather beret ) whichever of those you can afford or find.

For a sheild you want a Thara frog card, if you do manage getting this don't just throw it in any slotted sheild you find you have to think about how compatible it is with classes so if you ever need to flip it into zeny you haven't lossed too much zeny, A guard is what most use because mage classes will still buy it. Valkryrie sheild and Stone buckler are what most "pro's" are going to want it in because of the set item bonus's.
Go with the guard if it's ur first one though (buckler reduces it's price by a lot ).

For you're shoes you have a few choices to make , There are lot's of shoe card's that are very alike but so different at the same time. ( Matyr , Gold Acidus , Verit , Green Feerus ) And then theres the SP whore card ( Sohee ) Which i don't personally think priests need ( Fast sp recovery with magnificat) but it can't hurt.
Green feerus / Gold acidus are the best in my opininion
Feerus > Matyr ( for pvp sake unless ur going to rely on the 1 agi )
Acidus > Verit if you're poor ( If you're rich the verit can be used in high upgraded shoes +4 ~ + 8 which would then make them better )

For armor you want 2 different silk robes ( +10 MDEF FTW ) You want a pupa for leveling at anubis ( helps LOTS ) And you want a marc for PVP ( not being able to be frozen is a huge advantage ) Sure there are going to be much better card's other then these , but these are the basic's you want to start with.

For Garment you got 2 choices

1. Vali's manteu ( 15% reduction / set item )
or
2. Raydric card'd Muffler[1] ( 20% reduction )


Accesories are designed to be put on and off often with hotkey's etc,

I'd suggest getting a phen clip just to have even if you don't use it often especially if you're going VIT like you said ( bad cast rate =\ )

But what you really have a few choices

1 . 2x zerom gloves +8 DEX

2. 2x Spore necklaces +6 VIT

OPTIONAL. 2x alligator cards ( 10% long range reduction ) pvp purposes


middle and lower headgears are mostly for pure sexyness reasons. Phantom of the opera masque is the best possible really =\ Unless you can get ur hands on some Sunglasses[1] which is not likely but if you do you're going to want to put a maya purple card in it, if not that then elder willow or rideword card.


Now what most priest's do is wait until they have transcended into High Priest before they play their real builds .
They make a pure level up build as normal priest.

The fastest leveling build for priest is a pure turn undead build.


TURN UNDEAD'S DESCRIPTION

[ Effect: This skill only works on Undead property monsters, although it will cast on other types of monsters. Has a [(SkillLV*2) + LUK + INT + BaseLV + (1 - TargetHP/TargetMaxHP)*200]/1000 % (with a max 70%) chance to do holy damage equal to current HP on an Undead property monster. On failure, an Undead property monster will take Holy property damage equal to [BaseLV + INT + SkillLV*10]. This spell fails automatically against Boss monsters. ]



If you read the skill's formula to work LUK + INT makes for the best chances to work.

But should you go 99 INT / LUK ?

Some might say yes , but for me i like having some good cast time with about 30-40 dex , VIT is not needed for anything except immunities on a priest ( Stun / slience ) When you have 95 VIT you are fully immune to both stun and silence therefor making you a MUCH better PVP player ( so why would you get VIT on a leveling turn undead build? You wouldn't :P




As for where to level up? Sure munak's are going to let you see ur exp is actually moving!!

but the best leveling route is as follows:


1. Payon dungeon 1 until level 25
2. Orc dungeon 1 until level 35-40
3. OPTION 1: Glast hiem churchyard avoid hunterfly with teliport
OPTION 2: Amatsu dungeon 1 avoid shinobi (Quest to get in [ask around])
Both these places will be GREAT exp until you are priest and have neccesary skills for Anubis [ Turn undead ] [ Gloria ] [ Magnificat ] [ Lex Devina ] Are the only skills you need for anubis everything else is optional.
You should be level 65-70 at this point

4. Sphinx dungeon 4 until lv 99

Teliport around until you find one then use lex devina / bless on it and finally turn undead it for a 1 hit KO! Don't forget to keep Gloria on for added chance for turn undead to actually work. Bless will increase you're turn undead chance as well someone explained this to me and it works. ( don't ask me the forumula /gg )

LUK is for turn undead chances only and is not recommended for final builds ( it's for leveling up )


And you're right if you're just starting out all these card's are going to seem impossible, especially if you're a poor acolyte =\


Maybe concider making a secondary alternate character for hunting item's / gaining zeny.

I find hunter is the best for this because you can collect million's of zeny per day at hillwind's. And MVP bosses solo at levels 85+

All of these item's you need can likely be found in the market place (prontera) on that server , it is a VERY big server the items have been found over and over and over everyday since the server started.

Thus means you don't have to hunt ur own gear ( very time consuming) all you have to do is make zeny to buy them.

Hill wind's drop extremely expensive loot and are easy to kill as hunter with earth arrow's ( we're talking about 1.2k zeny per kill )

Another good way to make zeny if you're on an official server ( 2k+ population ) Is to make a blacksmith to steal people's loot in orc dungeon 2

Smiths have a skill called [Greed] Which picks up every item on the ground within a little radius of urself.

If you run around and greed everyone's loot ( They may get very mad but is legal ) You can make millions per hour. A friend of mine did it for like 2 week's straight and had 30mil in the end which is more then 2mil per day , He was only doing it for about 2 hours per day.

The smithy trick will only work on official server's though on pserver's they normally have @autoloot enabled for players so you wouldn't be able to loot people.


Now if ur the type of guy who will want to go out and hunt down all this stuff alone ( good luck ) You're going to want a consistant fast killing class.

My suggestions are,

1. Pure agi knight [99agi , panty , undershirt , ele claymores = GODLIKE4CHEAP]

2. Gank rogue low HP makes me hate them except they do have potential for collecting item's the increased chances would be based on how many different types of items a monster drops ( too advanced sorry )

But what it is , is the gank skill will automatically use steal and take item's from monster's PASSIVLY so you don't have to even use any skill to steal from stuff it just automatically does it.


Get ur priorities in order though gear > leveling up or leveling up > gear

This is up to you.

use earth arrows and just double strafe them

Edit: OH 1 big thing to mention before you go do this , Make a merchant with Overcharge lv 10

Transfer all ur Loot you find at hillwind's and sell it on him with overcharge.

Doing this is the difference of millions and millions of zeny you wouldn't have ever seen in the first place. no joke
