like i said, the proportion in anime are screwed but it doesn't matter because it's a set view. Also if the camera is moving around alot you're going to get the impresion of 3D even if it's a 2d drawring, that's just how the mind works...

umm... no... There's anime based games and developers try to make them looks as close to the anime as they can. It's just not possible with the current technology.

heh, its kinda funny how we can (or will be able to in a few years) to simulate realistic worlds but can't simulate unrealistic drawings

about the Camera Movement, I saw anime scenes where the camers moved around the chars and it still looked 2D-ish

did you have control of that camera? Nope.

It's a mental thing.

Also it all goes back to proportions again...

Cell shading is the closest you'll get, trust me.

I mean like having a 3d scene thats looks like a drawn anime scene. Because 2D Pictures take too much work and are too undynamic(for changing the perspective of the picture or the rotation of things that are on that picture etc), 3D gives all this, but well it usually doesn't look like 2D, so I asked if theres a way to make it look like 2D

Problem with Cel-Shading is that it mostly keeps the 3D Effect.

Judging from Screenshots, Okami looks pretty nice but somehow it still has too much of 3D... can't really explain :x
U need cel shading... just REALLY GOOD cel shading. look at the recent Naruto Game for the PS3 is a good example. Looks like your watching an anime...
