Jed shifted his bo up higher on his shoulder glancing behind him.
"Excellent," He muttered under his breath, "Only thing missin' is Squat."
He took a few steps out of the ship, and evaluated the area. There were plenty of trees surrounding the ship, though Jed had no clue what kind they were.
"Why go wandering off, ah... Darren, is it?" Jed said, setting his bo down and shifting himself onto a branch lying low off of a tree. " This spot's perfectly fine."
"It's Derek!" One of the other men called to him.
"Whatever. Find some water." Jed started swinging up the tree, hoping to see where the hell they were.

"Fine" Derek muttered

The 5 of them started walking through a forest, with Derek equiped with a laser rifle they had found on the ship.They encountered a strage bug creature that was about 3 feet tall, had purple skin, somthing to the effect of 40 eyes, had wings, sharp teeth, 15 legs and was hissing quietly

Derek Quickly got one of the Rifle and shot it, the shot hit it and killed it "well heres dinner" Derek Commented

"Well, he's an ugly bugger." remarked Adden, his nose crinkling with distate. The bug was convusling in a pool of bloodied mud. It had been overturned by the force of the shot, leaving the underbelly and mouthparts cleanly exposed. He saw the creature's stubbly appendages twitching desperately in the air.

Adden loosened another shot on the insectoid's thorax and the painful palpitations came to a halt. He nudged the inert mass of flesh and cartilage with a fallen branch as a precautionary measure. It did not stir.

"It's dead."

The many-limbed monster did not seem altogether palatable to Adden. He had consumed lizards and worms whole during desert campaigns in the Sahara without the slightest complaint, but now he found mere thought of chewing on the slime-coated entrails and arms of this creature, nauseating.

"You sure this is edible?" he asked Derek, visibly concerned.

"I'm fairly sure that this creature is edible, when i was a kid I went to the conservatory in the town and they told us about this creature and it was the first of its kind that they had captured, and it was VERY dangeorus if you encountered it, but it was ediable... not the most tasty treat but I think it will have to do for now, until we can find somthing better to eat anyway"

Derek grabbed the creature by one foot and slung it over his shoulder and passed the rifle to Adden. "so what is your name?"

Adden's chapped digits curled around the nozzle of the rifle.
"Adden" he replied quietly, with a sort of half-smile. A deep silence pre
"Perhaps we should seek out shelter for the night." he started, "The weather does not look too promising."

Adden gazed out at the menacing storm-clouds that were quickly gathering in the evening sky. Long lanes of sunlight filtered through the inky blanket, bathing the alien rock-folds and streams in a dim glow. four of the six suns had sunk beneath the ridges - leaving a meagre pair of white dwarfs to light up the firmament.

Ryan grabbed the side of the doorway and stepped into the engulfing light that came from outside the ship. His eyes weren't use to so much light, it was a huge contrast with the ship's dark and hollow interior, especially considering the multiple suns shining their heat rays directly on this huge piece of rock.

"This is a small step for man, and one giant leap for manking, or at least what's left of it." He said in an ironic manner as he stepped onto the planet's firm ground.

Outside the ship, the light was even stronger than what he had seen from the inside and the heat... Oh the heat, it was close to unbearable. There was a scorching wind blasting around him, flowing through what little hair managed to escape the grasp of his cap, sometime letting it's place be taken by a sweet and fleeting breeze of pure refreshing air. The forest that laid in front of him seemed odly natural, even though there was this strange feeling of.... well strangeness surrounding it. As he proceeded to put his black aviator style sunglasses, he heard a gunshot coming from his right an quite nearby. As he looked where the sound came from, he saw two man around the dead body of some kind of creature. As he approached and just before place a toothpick between his jaws, he said in an ironic tone again:

"Wow, human kind never ceases to impress me. We arrive on a relativly new planet and the first thing we do is kill a native. I mean, wow."

But then he replied, in a slightly more serious tone: " But yeah, judging by the time, we should find somewhere safe , we just need to wait for everyone to be ready."

OOC: I was wondering something about the planet. If it is, as you say, a 1000 time bigger than earth, which is kind of....quite unusual but that doesn't matter, won't the gravity just be freaking huge and simply kill us? And you sway that the planet is one huge valley... but a planet is round (well mostly) and that would simply mean that there's a single ring of mountain around the planet, which, even there is quite... I don't know, I'm just having trouble imaging the planet as a whole when you describe it, so if you could give some precisions it would be great. Thank you in advance.

((OOC: lol, didnt think of that, but what i mean't by a huge valley is serveral valleys that are surrounding the earth, but the people scanning the planet dont know if its all a valley so maybe there could be some other enviroments ))
