The only thing different about Metin 2 from other games is the combat system, which is fun for like an hour. Then it's boring running around killing monster for quests.

Even tho the quests give you 90% of your level, your gonna spend another hour trying to lvl up that last 10%... That was my experience, and when you get to a lvl that doesnt offer a 90% xp quest, your stuck grinding for hours.

I've played it and sometimes still do.
The game is like Dynasty Warrior, as others have said before *older threads*. It's nice for the people who like to take down a few 100s of enemys solo instead of have to have like a team of 10 to take out a few. So yah, like Dynasty, you rape loads of stuff. Oh and you only get 90% lvl bonus from the quest till lvl 20. It basiclly tries to tell you quests are good, and do them all, which I do. Hour trying to lvl up 10%? Erm well can't say thats even close to accurate, if you are at the right mob, it should only take maybe like, a few minutes depends on lvl. Hour(s) for like lvl 30-bit higher you'll lvl once or more. It's all about your pots tho, because if you wanna lvl like crazy, you need pots, you need money. Which is no prob, you do the quests and youll most likly get some good stuff. Sell that over night while you sleep and well, at lvl 20 you could have about 10 mil like nothing. You just have to sell smart. The game features horses to ride on, as well as fishing and mining. You can rent horses for like 10mins till you do the horse quest, then you can lvl up your horse. The most obvious advantage of your horse is the speed, which is good for travel, which you will do quite a bit. After more quests *and alot of money, which that part sucks* you can lvl your horse to allow you to attack on it, as well as do your skills on it. Fishing has a few things going on for it. After you reach lvl 20(?) you can buy a pole. If you fish, you can of course catch fish. With fish, you can turn them into pots/eat them, they can heal or give you boosts for like example +10 move speed, so on so on. You can also fish up things like hair dyes, and other items like that. Hell, you can even fish up a horse *well what you use to summon one anyway.* You can fish anywhere near water. Mining you need to be lvl 30(?) then buy a pickaxe. You can mine at random appearing veins of (insert material name here) then mine for that mat like gold or silver. Ores can be used for some dif things like, diamond can be used to make a new slot for inserting an upgrade into armor or a wep, or w/e. There are 4 classes to pick from, and in each are 2 jobs. For example, an assassin can be an archer with a bow, or use swords and daggers. Sadly, besides dif armors, there is no customization of your char unless you use a hair dye to change color, or use real money in the item shop to buy a new hair style. Course you can make a guild, have guild wars, do events like the OX event which is pretty neat, make parties, and all that good stuff. Also there is pvp, sadly you can murder people. BUT, if you do, you will get negative titles like criminal and there are some bad things that will happen if you gain it, for say anyone can kill you and they will not get -points and also at 50+ you will get a high rate that your items will drop. Note if you are good, and only kill monsters you will get titles like noble. They both, - and + are called Hostile Kill Points. You can use them to advance your skill more than normal by trying to read books, thus using your points. All of the stuff you wear can be upgraded, all the way to +9. There is a luck system involved with upgrade, you may get an item +9 like nothing, or get a +1 items destroyed... It's all about random luck. Upgrades can cost you, and losing crap is HELL, but it is well worth it. For example, if you upgrade a sword a bit, it can be better than a sword 20 lvls higher than it with no upgrades, its good stuff heh. Also if you upgrade, your stuff will get shined, and if its high enough, will sparkle *lol* which does look nice tho. You can truly be a knight in shining armor... xD ALSO, the whole game is about strange alien rocks falling from space called metins, they randomly fall from the sky and you can kill them for good drops. *they really do fall from the sky, its fun to see one fall near you.* Note tho, they will summon loads of mobs, and you will most likly get owned unless you know what you're doing and the metin is not so high in lvl. You do NEED to kill them tho, not only for quests, but the really good drops. Some drops include stones so you can add on special stats into an items like +10 Armor Points on your armor... Also they drop skill books. After you master a skill (lvl 17-20, if you're lucky it will master at 17) you need books to advance more into that skill. It can cost LOADS of money buying some books, or nothing for others, from other players. It is worth it tho, sadly you CAN fail to read books. That is why if you are rich enough, you should get your fortune told. The "old lady" will tell you if you are lucky, unlucky so on so on. You should only try to read books and add on stones on lucky + higher days. Normal days are ok but not great, unlucky days you would be an idiot to try. Books can only be read one book per day. If you fail, it will disapear, if you learn it, the book will disapear but your skill will advance. Stones can be added any time tho. There is more to say but, that was enough for now... Over all its a good game, I love being that super mofo that can take down 100s of enemys like nothing. If you like Dynasty warrior, and games like that, you should play m2 for sure. Only thing I don't like, you CANT jump... Yah wtf really? -.- ~Roh |
