What about fried chicken...using any sort of chicken at any time of day? Plus, mine is healthier and you can also tailor it towards your tastes by tweaking the spice mix some

The reason for it is that I know we generally will reach for whatever is easiest at the time. Hot Pockets, TV Dinners, ramen noodles, etc. These are not the healthiest of options, plus learning to cook can impress your special someone. the idea behind the whole thing is foods that can either be prepared in advance if desired, take little time to cook (15-20 minutes start to finish max), or get shoved into a crockpot/slow cooker to cook all day leaving you open for gaming.

What do you all think about that? Would you read articles that included recipes and pictures on how to prepare quick and easy foods? What about videos? Which would be best? Would you not care at all and probably not read it/watch it?
I'd do both, honestly. Get recording/writing!

Healthy goes down the drain when you get the incredible taste of Popeyes.

Only thing is some of us aren't yet at the age where we buy our own spices/foods though I'm sure there are ways lol

Only thing is I only bother to get up and make something when I'm hungry, so If it takes 20 minutes to prepare and start it going and I have to wait for it to cook after that I'm going to die from hunger.

If I were him I would only do it if I had enough free time on my hands. Although an oncooking would be lame, and cooking for gamers teaching you how to slam anything but a hot pocket in a microwave would be pointless, because well, thats what gamers do. 15-20 minutes is to long for a busy man, there is much you can do in those 15-20 minutes. Hell, most people can't even wait for a hot pocket without doing something. Even if you only need to take a few seconds and check on your creation, thats a few seconds people are too lazy to do when their gaming.

In other words, cooking and gamers have nothing in common, so I say Nei.

That is your opinion and I respect it. However this thread has shown me that it is simply untrue. There are at least a decent amount of people who would like to see it. 15-20 minutes is nothing, especially when you can usually make enough food to last a few days so you do not have to go back to cook soon.

YES PLEASE TEACH HOW TO COOK!
I ARE HUNGRY!
Although your only downside to this is that you'll be looking to get a bunch of gamers, who pause their games reluctantly to even go take a piss, to actually cook something instead of grabbing and making something quick and easy.
BUT GO FOR IT ANYWAY FUCK THE LAZY PEOPLE, I'M HUNGRY!

15-20 minutes being "nothing" is definitely an opinion, an 8 year old child for the most part would think 20 minutes is an extremely long time yet someone like a stock broker would think of it as seconds...it all has to do with perception of time.

Personally for me 15-20 minutes isn't "nothing" nor is it "a lot" its not really that long but its not 15-20 minutes I would want to spend preparing food that would take me 5 minutes to eat. I would rather spend 2 minutes heating up water, pour it into the cup of noodles, wait 3 minutes while stirring, then take 5 minutes to eat it lol of course thats my opinion and a lot of people wouldn't agree with me but a lot probably would as well.

And posts that are contrary to your opinions about it shouldn't stop you from doing it, by all means do it because it definitely will help lots of people. All the purpose of this thread really is is to make sure it wouldn't be a complete waste of time and thats already been proved as a fact that it wouldn't due to all the positive feedback on it.

Just to add a comment on something else you asked, if it was in video form it would be much easier, especially considering the gaming crowd is generally 10-20 years old (lots are old/younger of course, but majority is that) which means a lot of them usually won't have as much cooking experience and if their like me they would be kind of nervous trying to cook a "big meal" for the first time, a video would help determine that the amount of each ingredient is correct, how it looks when its done, how you do certain steps, etc.

lol on that note I'm going to go cook up some ramen x..x brb

I suppose the fact that I am 25 and view such short amounts of time as "nothing" is indeed a matter of perception. I need to pitch this idea and show community interest to Gabriel though, which is the true reason for this thread.
