So a lot of you know that I wrote for different sites before I came over to Onrpg. One of the things I miss that I loved on the other site I wrote for was this weekly cooking column I did. Basically, it was written by a gamer (me) with some culinary training, for gamers.
The reason for it is that I know we generally will reach for whatever is easiest at the time. Hot Pockets, TV Dinners, ramen noodles, etc. These are not the healthiest of options, plus learning to cook can impress your special someone. the idea behind the whole thing is foods that can either be prepared in advance if desired, take little time to cook (15-20 minutes start to finish max), or get shoved into a crockpot/slow cooker to cook all day leaving you open for gaming. What do you all think about that? Would you read articles that included recipes and pictures on how to prepare quick and easy foods? What about videos? Which would be best? Would you not care at all and probably not read it/watch it? |

Honestly Ati, I think it would be an AWESOME idea, I love learning how to cook new things not only for the love of cooking, but because it's a great impressing skill.
If you do decide on doing this, I'd say go for the whole 9 wards, the recipes, pictures, easy foods, complex foods, and videos on how to. If you ever need suggestions I'd be happy to help. |

Know what I think?
I think you should stop waving your pan around like your the iron chief/dave. This is onrpg, not cooking with Mr Admin. |

i am not saying videos won't be good, but just as some sort of addition, just like pictures.

Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

I fully understand that some could care less, but if there is enough interest I will make it happen. Let me also say that by learning to cook you can either impress your parents or impress your man/woman/sheep. Few would deny that having a significant other that knows how to cook is fantastic ![]() |
